Yes immediately following Trump's statement North Korea issued official statements saying they still wanted to work towards peace.
Problem -- they have done nothing to show that.
Whatever the reason the White House cancelled the show
North Korea was a no-show at the summit prep meeting, probably because they were trying to determine how the US would respond to their no-show. Kim wants to see how desperate we are to negotiate, and by Trump canceling the summit, he signalled that we are not desperate.
That's why cancelling was the right decision, and why liberals should take a chill pill.
Between Trump, Bolton, and Pompeo, we're in good hands.
They already squandered an opportunity at diplomacy. This is what the world sees:
Trump - warmongering psychopath who canceled the summit
NK - Offered to strive towards peace despite Trump canceling the summit. They are now the rational, peace-loving adults in the room.
Now that the NKoreans have signaled continued interest in peace, they will wait for Trump to re-enter the negotiating table (read: grovel at the NKoreans’ feet). It’s a lose-lose situation for the Trump administration no matter how Trump responds.
Makes absolutely no practical sense. There is a big space between Canada and Mexico, correct? How do you define that space? Is it just open space? A free for all? Whoever in the world wants to take the unoccupied/owned space can just take it?
So Russia can theoretically come in and claim land right next to your property, and you will have a private security company to defend you?
Property rights are the ONLY thing that makes sense.
There is a big space...most of which is owned by various governments. I'm saying there should be NO public property; anything that is not owned or claimed can be homesteaded.

Well let's see, for starters, a publically supported military will have a much larger financial backing to develop weapon systems that can actually compete with militaries of other world powers. Not that that's important or anything...
Publicly funded militaries depend on taxes, which is where all the backing comes from. Taxation is theft. Those who disagree with the U.S. having an empire are still forced at gunpoint to fund it.
The private sector has more reason to be more inventive and cost effective, as they have to answer to their customers and shareholders. Private companies are profit-driven.
It was only after NK agreed to denuclearize that a meeting was agreed to and planned.
It was Trump's position from the start.
Rocket man must have been watching and listening to Lindsey Graham and others warning about having a meeting and trying to play Trump.
He feels safer doing it through messages without a meeting.
Between Trump, Bolton, and Pompeo, we're in good hands.
The hand that steals from fellow Americans and grabs *****? Good enough for you, but not for most. No ****ing thanks!
