This is about the suspension of NAFTA negotiations. The suspension of NAFTA negotiations is because China has been utilizing a loophole to enter their products into the US tax/import free for the past 30 years. They build in Mexico & slide in through the Southern border import free under the guise of being a Mexican company/NAFTA. It's caused us to lose untold fortunes in revenue, it's caused massive trade deficits, the crumbling of our middle/working classes, the decimation of our manufacturing industry & hurt unions immeasurably.

Liberals have been aware of this for decades & for decades promised to renegotiate NAFTA & other unfair trade deals. It was only once Trump promised to do the same that they suddenly supported the multinational corporations & foreign countries in their fight against the United States.

Trump will not budge on the loophole allowing foreign countries to avoid our import taxes via NAFTA. Without that loophole Mexico & Canada are of no real value to China or the EU. They're willing to budge on everything but the one deal breaker for the US. So, we've suspended NAFTA negotiations.

In return China had North Korea start acting belligerently again hoping to force Trump to buckle on NAFTA in exchange for the NK denuclearization deal. In return Trump cancelled the NK meeting altogether & asked Steve Mnuchin to explore the possibility off adding a 25% tax on auto imports independent of NAFTA. That way Trump can give in to their unfair demands & they still don't get what they want.

These are all interconnected moves on the chess board & for the first time in our lifetimes we have someone who not only understands how this game is played, but is willing to fight for the American people over the multi-national corporations, lobbyists and foreign interests.

Bolton might be happy if war broke out, not me.

It's too early to tell what will happen with Korea but it did look like Trump was being played. Perhaps if he hadn't gutted the State Department Mr Trump would have had better advice (not that he would have followed it).

I see it as part of the negotiation process.

You go to the dealership to buy a new car, you determine your walk-away point if they don't offer what you want. You start to get up and walk away, and the sales person offers to meet you somewhere in the middle.

You don't just go to the table and agree to take whatever comes your way. Evidently, that's how liberals negotiate.

A diplomatic letter with teeth, Trump is no bend over boy.

Yep. No doubt kim has seen and memorized the Gaddafi tape, along with hillary's sickening happy chair dance and chant, he knows what would be in store for him if someone like her ever comes into power.

They would rather we be nuked by kim than for a peaceful resolution, as long as Trump is involved in that peaceful resolution.

Please take the time to read this piece. It explains what's going on in an easy-to-digest format. It's well worth your (and everyone else that's not an economist) time.

Ok, so the alternative is that the US, the world's foremost military superpower, caves and NK gets nuclear weapons. NK then becomes a regional nuclear power, and emboldened by their new status, becomes more aggressive and belligerant towards its non-nuclear neighbors, forcing them to become nuclear powers as well to deter NK.

Meanwhile, the risk of nuclear technology falling into the wrong hands increases, and other third world countries become encouraged by what they see in NK, since the world's foremost superpower didn't stop them, so they decide to develop nuclear weapons as well.

I think you can see where this is going...

NK needs to be stopped.

What's going on is this:

Kim does as he's told by Xi and Putin.

First, pull that fool tRump in by pretending to want a deal.

Then, after he's done his premature victory lap, pull the rug out from under him.

It's the same old, same old.

NK has been the lapdog of Russia and China for 70 years.

And they're experts at this game.

Nobel Peace Prize, what a joke. It's no longer a prestigious award, it's just a pathetic participation award.

The sad part is it seems Kim has figured how to play the game while making trump look like an idiot.

Are you saying that liberals made Trump an a$$? He has been that way ever since I remember. He will not change now. He is his own worst enemy and we (America) are paying for it.
