No, it was not entirely, or even remotely appropriate that an attorney and the Chief of Staff from this administration showed up at a Congressional briefing on an investigation into this administration.
Imagine if this had been a Congressional briefing on an investigation into Obama and he had sent his Chief of Staff and a staff attorney to warn everyone about transparency.
Republicans would still be having fits.
