Some people are correct here, they do not know how to use Google or at least do not. Here is one version:

He showed his base who he was before the election. I will never understand how anyone can support him.
the two references above are not what the poster said in the Original Post.

so a member of the press, leslie stahl, said trump said this to her in 2016. I'm skeptical. if he said that, why didn't she write about it at the time?

Believe what you like. You like a lot of others were basically conned. If you do not want to admit it that is OK. That is my point, you knew before hand, but you still got conned!

I know what the OP said.

I'm referring to the post the OP made about TRUMP knowing that his base and supporters are gullible as heck. Then I posted more examples that he stated that his base is gullible before being elected. See the pattern of behavior or are you one of those supporters? Carry on!

Given what we have seen from Trump. Yes.

But lets remember something. There were over a dozen other people the Republicans could have chosen. This wasnt a Trump or Hillary question until Republicans made it one.

That's it. That's the whole reason that Trump is president. Liberals felt they had to vote for Hillary, and the rest of us knew better - and we were right! Hillary would have been one legal crisis after the other. The world - and in particular the USA - is better off with Trump.

Now, in order to justify themselves, liberals have to create a straw man and assign him all sorts of weird beliefs.

Besides, we know who was thought to be gullible. We heard it from Jonathan Gruber, the designer of Obamacare. He was speaking of the Democratic voter, since no Republican voted for Obamacare.

Quote:
Gruber said that “the stupidity of the American voter” made it important for him and Democrats to hide Obamacare’s true costs from the public.

That is because they are simple.

I just read that his hard core base likes him because he is an aggressive authoritarian.
They really don't know what they have done to this country by electing him. I think they would be happy if he started a Civil War. After all they have been playing those Civil War games forever.

You are so right. I had a friend who likes him because he is going to give her $100 more a year in taxes.
