I will be sure to check what our international rivals think of our next potential leader before I vote.
NOT.

You people remember how Jacques Chirac vehemently opposed the removal of Saddam Hussein?
After the invasion we found that:
A. Saddam had funnelled $13billion of oil for food money meant to feed his people and hidden it in a Paris Bank.
B. Saddam had issued oil futures chits- the only form of bribery available to him under sanctions- to a number of officials the list of which were traced to the offices of vladimir putin and jacques chirac.
C. Nobody stood to gain more from Saddams treacherous stranglehold on power like the French and the EU, since Saddam had switched his oil sales to the Euro.
D. During the years of Saddams reign France and Russia were suppliers of 78% of his arms purchases... and he owed them each some $8billion on that at the start of the war.
E. Saddam had signed oil exploration contracts to his northern fields with France, Russia, and China, which would begin with the end of sanctions.

Point of that history lesson was that people were all worried about Europes opinion of our policy at the time but their own treachery was completely unknown or ignored.

So if Europe doesnt like that our current leader is not their puppet then he is okay with me.

The john kerrys and jane fondas of america can disagree.

I hear all the time on here, "Who needs them ?". The short answer is, WE NEED THEM. Trump has this grade school understanding of world affairs and the interactions between nations....to him, it is no different than buying or selling a building. People who study this stuff, and who are very knowledgeable about it, all say that we are making some very serious mistakes that will affect us for decades to come.

America is not an island, although he thinks it is, and should be. We need other countries for economic, security, and other reasons. We have our bases in many other countries, we rely on them to come to our aid in times of trouble, and we want to sell our goods and services there. We need them to trust us enough to share sensitive intelligence that keeps us safe.

The bottom line is, Donald Trump may be "smart" in some ways, but he is totally ignorant when it comes to how each brick he puts in place, or that he removes, affects the integrity of the whole building. I hope the next person in that seat is able to repair some of the damage he has done, and continues to do , daily.
Blah blah blah. Thousands of degreed professionals in washington dc with careers in policy analysis just cleaned out their desks the day Trump was inaugurated, right?
We dont have to worry about trumps "grade school" education because those of us with a higher than kindergarten level of understanding about how leadership and govt work know that he delegates authority to people who know what they are doing.
Your portrayal of how decisions would be made by any president is just juvenile.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS THIS:

Trump doesnt know a god damned thing about civil engineering or architecture yet buildings he had built with his name on them have not collapsed. Gee how is that?

It was really bad, but not as bad as the u.s. turned it to since the iraq war. To say nothing about libya.

Was iraq such a success that now they want to do the same with iran?

Is what we're seeing an economic war between the u.s. and europe but instead of affecting their respected population it is played out in the middle east?

Also, iran has minimum trade with the u.s., while trade with europe is significant. So is this all about the dollar vs the euro?

Trump will never remove all US armed forces from other countries. You think Trump is all about America first? Then why doesn't he make sure all of his multi-national corporations are only based in America?

Not from the ones I have spoken with. Out of probably 30, only two have had anything positive to say about him. Just today I had two guys who were leaving on their boat for Panama, via the Keys and then Cuba, and they commented it will be no problem going, but it will be a hassle coming back because Trump has removed our ability to freely travel to Cuba.

I told them I really dislike Trump and one of them said "We are on the same page as you on that subject". He is the laughing stock of the world, and they are all wondering where our heads were in electing such a fool.

Silly. To say that Europe has "turned against" Trump suggests they were ever in his corner. They are liberals and have despised Trump since beofre his party nomination.
