Taxes don't bring more water into the state and higher taxes doesn't give anyone the right to use more water. That's a fact.
BS. Taxes pay for the water rights that are negotiated with other states. Lawyers cost money.
Not to mention the infrastructure & maintenance to bring that water into the cities. Who do you think pays for most of that? The 10 illegals packed into one tiny apartment, or the billionaire and his 5 acre lawn?
I get it, you hate illegals. The fact is they do pay property taxes (renters pay that in the form of rent), sales and excise taxes and yes income taxes. Stop your lies. https://bipartisanpolicy.org/blog/ho...-an-explainer/
Don't try to compare property tax of 10 illegals packed into one apartment with the amount of property tax the rich with big lawns pay, you just look ignorant.
Not build civilization in the freaking desert for one maybe?
Neither NY nor Florida have deserts and I have lived in both. During droughts, both States have imposed water restrictions on residents. I am sure other states have done the same. Nothing to do with "illegals".
We don’t waste water, but I’m not going to start calculating how much we’re using in a given month in case we have to stop showering or washing clothes.
If lawmakers don’t like it, come get me you rat bastards. Enough is enough.
California is pretty much a desert. If anything, it had been unusually wet the past few centuries, and it's reverting back into its desert roots. It was inevitable eventually. So they really do need to minimize their water usage, unless other states are willing to provide them with water.
And consider this. California has close to 40 million people. The majority of whom live in semi-arid to arid areas.
Of course, ZeroHedge had to lie their libertarian rearsides off about the subject, but - well, they are who they are.
