Why publish her name if she wasn't anonymous? lol Obviously intended to rile up people and have her personally harassed. Otherwise, why?
The doxxer caused injury to people who were not her. It can be shown their intentional action is the reason people related to her suffered financial and personal injury. Going after family members? No.
Twitter allowed it, they gave her a voice. Why not call them out?
You keep repeating this so go right ahead and call them out!
HuffPo crossed the line here. I really can't understand how it is that someone who is supposedly a journalist would take reporting their stories to this level. If you don't like the poster's opinion, attack their opinion. Hell, attack them verbally. When you drag in other parties, you have gone way overboard and you're just doing it with the intention of causing harm. That's not decent at all.
I'll also add that this is the kind of thing that will cause violence to come your way. Yeah, the 1st Amendment allows you to say what you want but doesn't protect you from consequences. Yep. You're right. Both sides have expressed their opinions. Only one side actually caused harm to the other, so far. You take away a person's career, make them kryptonite to other possible employers, potentially put them at risk of losing their home, don't be surprised when they act like they have nothing else to lose. Doxxing people is a dangerous game, Russian Roulette, if you will. I just hope this reporter doesn't act all surprised when the hammer drops on a loaded chamber, figuratively speaking, of course.
Doxxing is not journalism. It's revenge. It's malicious. It is intended to harm.
Free speech is immune from retaliation by the government, not private individuals. You know, for as much as you right wingers claim to love the Constitution you sure don't know a lot about it.
Just because you can shut-down someone's free-speech....does not mean you should.

Sorry for bumping this old thread but with the recent layoffs then HuffPo did now they're been acquired by Buzzfeed, isn't it tempted to said then karma bites back the HuffPo?
Well, I just skimmed the article, and in my opinion, this enters into the realm of hate speech and her postings were so extreme that I think that she SHOULD have been banned.
It is one thing to say that you dislike Muslims (for example) and don't agree with their ideology, but it is quite another to display an obviously Muslim man being roasted over a spit by a smiling pig.
The first might indicate some bigotry, but the second is saying that having a Muslim roasted alive would meet with your approval.
No sympathy here. She owns the things she said and did. If she was afraid it was going to hurt her, she shouldn't have left such a trail of bread loaves leading directly to her door.

Obama sicced the IRS on Fox News reporter James Rosen.
Free speech, as with anything else, has consequences. Don't want to get doxed? Don't say stupid things in public. Stop being a snowflake and take responsibility for your actions
What would the mainstream media do if they couldn't say stupid things in public?
