The Iranian regime works through its proxy terrorists, Hezbullah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad, hordes of poor Shia cannon fodder from Pakistan to Iraq, and sometimes murders using its own agents. The targeted victims are always innocent civilians. From supporting Assad to Hezbullah to Hamas to Al-Sadr.

The Revolutionary Guards themselves are very actively helping Assad, training Hezbullah, and were active in Iraq, killing and maiming thousands of Americans. The army of Hezbullah is in effect part of the Iranian military. Lebanon is Iranian-occupied. The regime now controls four Arab capitals in its quest for hegemony over the region.

Agents of Iran are also active in Yemen, Bahrain, and in Afghanistan. Recently they were caught in acts of terrorism in Kenya, Cyprus, Turkey, India, Georgia, Thailand, and Azerbaijan. They succeeded in Bulgaria, blowing up a bus full of tourists. Interpol seeks the arrest of high current and former Iranian officials, including the Defense Minister, for mass murder in Argentina. Hezbullah operatives have been indicted by a specially convened international court for the murder of the PM and dozens of others. The list of international terror attacks goes on and on.... And of course it is the only government in the world which is sworn to the destruction of another state. "The destruction of the Zionist entity (Israel) is non-negotiable".

The Iranian regime has been at the top of the US State Department's list of terror states for decades, under both Democratic and Republican administrations.

A very recently released trove of Osama bin Laden documents reveals a clear and deep link with Al Qaeda
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...sed-trove-bin/

And this is only the external terror. Internally, the regime commits more executions than any other in the world, including for "crimes" such as homosexuality and adultery. The prisons are full of political opponents. Critics of the theocratic regime are arrested for "crimes against Allah". Opposition media have been shut down and the internet is strictly controlled. Americans are held hostage.

The extremist Islamic regime which has control over Iran is the cancer of the Middle East. It is the source of weapons and money to the most violent, anti-peace forces in the region. Until that tumor of terror is destroyed, there will be no peace.

Do a search on "Iran and terrorism". You'll get over 100,000 hits. Here is just the tip of the iceberg:

You've been all over this forum, on multiple threads. All the same theme.
There must be an ulterior motive for your comments. Or is it just incredible ignorance?
Has Iran committed more terror attacks than your country?

Have they done anything as evil as our invasion of Iraq?

There's no doubt that arab countries are the most unstable elements on the planet right now. Whether it's because we've been meddling over there so much over the decades or it's just because of their religion, hopefully proliferation of the internet and more knowledge and freedom will get them to gradually join us here in the 21st century.

They can't really help it.. a culture continues because parents teach it to their children who teach it to their children. Culture change typically is a slow process.

If a person in NATO states it won't aid Israel, then why was Israel part of a NATO exercise?

Because it's a partner, not a member. NATO only defends members, although partners may contribute to operations and drills. It says so right in your link.

To become a member of NATO Israel would have to admit that it has nuclear weapons.

Yes, Iran has made those threats numerous times; but nothing ever happens, nor will it.

Israel basically hasn't been touched because everyone with an ounce of sense knows the United States would have their back. Not just Jews either, but large swaths of conservative/evangelical Christians not only believe in the Jews God given right to Palestine, but for the Jewish state to exist.

Several Arab nations have normalized relations with Israel as well including Egypt.

So the question then would be who would support Iran? The only other world power remotely capable of balancing out that equation would be Russia.

Saudi Arabia and Russia are the two largest oil producing nations in world. While historically Israel and SA have not gotten along, there are signs that frost may start to thaw: https://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,...269451,00.html

Meanwhile as befitting the two largest producers of oil Russia and Saudi Arabia have developed closer ties of late. The latter hoping former can influence Iran in that pesky nuclear mess.

So there really isn't any clear cut way for Iran to "wipe Israel off the face of earth". Maybe 30 or 40 years ago, but not now. It would be especially unwise to provoke a big ginger headed POTUS who believes he is CEO of "United States of America Inc...) and is also commander in chief of the military.

Why should NATO get involved in a war that doesn't involve a NATO nation?

Personally, NATO is outdated and we need to remove ourselves from it.
