Nonsense. The purpose of the 2nd Amendment is to ensure that government doesn't have sole access to the means of coercive force.

Not only can they; they already do, rather extensively at that.

Yes, I agree. obviously. The ridiculous level of unfunded mandates is one such example of bad legislation facilitated by the 17th Amendment.

The tendency to make a Federal Case out of *everything* directly stemmed from the 17th Amendment.

Oh yeah. Let us change to a pure democracy and watch the chaos ensue. Doh! We were founded and shall remain a Constitutional Republic. Some would say Democratic Republic. That, too me is word parsing.

But, no democracy.

Apparently we need a Constitutional amendment to make it clear that the President cannot pardon himself.

You should've added the sentence that comes after what you quoted: "... In either case, it is unfit to exist."

Showing the whole quote makes it more clear that men have a right to be completely against the existence of police and/or government.

He was talking about the Constitution, he said it was not fit to exist.

In other words, repeal the whole thing.

No thank you. Instead of repealing it, how about amending it so that it only applies to those whom it was meant for. If we get rid of that amendment, there could be other problems that come with it.

Right off the top of my head I would most certainly like to see the Sixteenth Amendment repealed and I would also be very supportive of having the Twenty-sixth Amendment repealed as well .

Other than that it's adding certain amendments , such as a balanced budget amendment concerning the federal government , that I'd support as opposed to repealing already existing ones .
