I supported Obama working with Iran to return their money to them. It was their money. I do not support the secretive back handed way he did it.
The "secretive back handed way he did it" was to airdrop cash to Iran.
This Congressional Report details FURTHER Money Laundering to avoid US Sanctions - none of this stuff with the banks has anything to do with the Iranian Money held in the USA.
It's all about the Sanctions and avoiding them using illegal means.
The two major US Banks that both Secretary of Treasury AND Secretary of State tried to convince to go along with this avoidance of Sanctions REFUSED to do it.
Think about that for a minute - the Secretary of the US Treasury AND the Secretary of State were both turned down when asked to circumvent the Law -- those 2 were heavy hitters and still couldn't convince the "2 Major Banks"
The EU is in trouble now - The US Treasury/Administration has given them until August 6, 2018 to wind up their business with Iran that breaks US Sanction Law. They sent a letter to Pompeo & Mnuchin begging for relief.
The letter amounts to a stark admission by European officials that there is little the EU can do to ensure businesses to remain in Iran. The U.S. has repeatedly warned European companies they will be in the crossfire if they continue trading with Iran once an adjustment period ends. U.S. officials have given European companies until Aug. 6 to wind down transactions in dollars with Iranian firms and to stop investing in Iran’s auto industry. Energy companies have until Nov. 4
Odd to see the EU folks making threats against the USA, while they are begging the USA.

Team Obama says that doing the secret waiver wasn't illegal (but they sure didn't say why they hid it if it was on the Up & Up) - the Banks they tried to get involved did not agree and said NO.

LIES under Oath in Congressional Testimony is Illegal ...... time for Congress to step up to the plate and start charging those who LIE with Perjury. Jail/Fines are the only way that will work.
