Oh, both parties are constantly spewing in God we Trust, God bless America, yadda, yadda de yadda. Religion in the White House is solely based on verbal imitation by those trying to grab a seat in it for the most part. They aren't really a threat and aren't really followers of any Christ-like being. They just realize who their voter bases are.
I shudder to think what Pence would be like as president though if indeed the left boots Trump out of office somehow. I often wonder if they've thought that through. You can tell by the look in his eye he's one of those delusional dudes who talk to Jesus about America nightly. I am afraid of that. lol
Here it is, in their own words. David Barton is one of the most powerful and influential people in the Republican Party. Theocracy is where we are headed. These people who are supposedly the most America-loving, patriotic people want to overthrow everything the Constitution stands for and institute religious law.

What are your thoughts? Do you support a fundamentalist Christian state in the US?
Omg, some Christians can be so conceded. Judges of the world eh? lmao. See, that's why these are scary people. A God in the sky said we are the judges of this world John, well isn't that awesome Tom. lol
To me, Trump is saving us from these people with his third wifey, and his foul mouth. Thanks be to the heathen we have as president!!
Organized religion might be in decline in the U.S., but the religious right is firmly in control in the GOP right now, and the GOP is firmly in control of our government right now.
So this matters greatly.
It certainly does. I've no interest in any theocracy of any kind. But, VP Pence, certainly would be.
One religion over another is not the answer but what is if we can have respect for each other and if I can get Christian here we could all do better if as Jesus said Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Unfortunately most evangelicals could care less about that specific "Christian value." What they want is to enforce certain laws in Leviticus (while ignoring others) as well as to control everyone's vices.

I'd love to come to your house on Halloween dressed like a preacher or the pope...
You are as bad with Christianity as Bubbas are with muslims...
How many threads bashing Christians/Christianity do you have?
Politics is the religion of the left so now there is some competition.
Naturally the left will want to deny the other religions what they have decided is their prerogative. They seek total control over the lives of others. Individuals control over their lives is not to be tolerated.
Wow last week it was "science" now it is politics, you guys should get your stories straight.

Sounds pretty scary. That guy wishes America would become like the Handmaid's Tale in real life.
Hilarious. The religious right in the US is in decline, unless that is we import Islam. More likely we will see a European Caliphate.
You're comment is actually hilarious. Not sure where your getting your misguided information but the religious right is far from being in decline. Church growth among non-denominational Christians is at an all time high. While some of the old main stream Protestant denominations are in the non-denominationalists are experiencing a surge in growth across the United States. I'm intimately familiar with a church that held its first service in a garage in Edmond, Oklahoma 21 years ago. Without any outside help they've now grown to 39 locations in 8 different states. Christianity is far from dead in the United States.
