The is a copy of the Indictment - Wolfe repeatedly LIED to the FBI.
First I find it interesting that under the Trump administration the FBI is using a written record of the interrogation. Under TeamObama, the FBI did not use written records. Wolfe was not only interviewed, he was required to sign off on each question.
Item 17 in the Grand Jury Indictment states that the Intelligence Committee received a Classified Government document (DOJ) that continued Secret and Top Secret Information that Wolfe maintained for the Intelligence Committee. That same day Wolfe had 88 text messages & a 28 minute phone call with Reporter #2 (Ali Watkins of the NY Times, previously with Buzzfeed & Politico) - she published the story outing information contained in the document 3 days later.
Interesting response by the Leadership of this Senate Intelligence Committee.
Sens. Richard Burr, North Carolina Republican, and Mark R. Warner, Virginia Democrat, released a statement Thursday night saying they didn’t believe any classified information was involved in the leaks.
But the two men — respectively the chairman and ranking member of the Senate intelligence committee — still said they were “troubled.”
“This news is disappointing, as the former staffer in question served on the Committee for more than three decades, and in the Armed Forces with distinction,” they said. “However, we trust the justice system to act appropriately and ensure due process as this case unfolds. This will in no way interfere with our ongoing investigation, and the Committee remains committed to carrying out our important work on behalf of the American people.”
The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence oversees the country’s national security agencies, including the FBI, CIA and National Security Agency. It is said to have some of the strictest rules regarding the release of sensitive information.
Burr and Warner don't think any "classified" information was involved -- that's NOT what the DOJ/FBI is saying. No indication of any "outrage" that the person interested with all the Classified & Secret documents/testimony that this Select Committee is entrusted with has been indicted for his secret encrypted communications with at least 4 reporters, the many leaks from the Select Committee and the LIES to the Investigators.
"he served with distinction" (reminds me of the traitor Bergdahl) & no problemo -
Nothing to see here folks
It's pretty evident that there is a serious problem with the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence - there has been a lot of speculation about a coming indictment connected to this committee - Wolfe was not the one most thought would be indicted.
Could be more to come.
I assume that they just picked up the connection to the staffer but not the content of the email. This is where Freedom of the Press meets National Security. This isn't new, Obama administration did the same.
Quote:
WASHINGTON — The New York Times says the federal government has seized records of one of its reporters as part of an investigation into classified leaks.
The Times says the reporter, Ali Watkins, was informed in February that the Justice Department had obtained years of records for two email accounts and a phone number of hers, though they did not obtain the content of the messages themselves.
The newspaper says it learned of the letter Thursday, and the records covered several years before Watkins joined The Times in late 2017
Ali did a lot of Twitter - a whole string on leaks from the SSCI (Senate Select Committee on Intelligence) and blaming it on Trump Lawyers ......... while her lover was feeding HER and others the intel.
Just too "cute" -- she reveals her Anti-Trump bias and the same bias of the real leaker, the SSCI Head of Security. They must spend a lot of time in giggles at how smart they are.

I was telling people on here that the Senate Intel Committee was compromised.
This guy Wolfe leaking, and Senator Warner trying to witness tamper, no wonder the other congressional committees would never work with, or share information with the Senate Intel Committee.
Goodnight,
Remember when I told you the Senate Intel Committee was compromised, and that was why Nunes wouldn't share his memo with them?
Also, remember when I told you guys that they were feeding false information to people to see who the leakers were. Here one of the false reports feed to the senate intel committee.
The indictment quotes from a few texts between Wolfe and reporters.
Just curious - why would anyone want to read the New York Times (their reporter is listed with the leaks) interpretation of the Indictment when the US Department of Justice has posted the ENTIRE indictment?
Is Cherry Picking "quotes" better than just reading the entire thing??? And if so - WHY???
The Wolfe/Watkins Love story is interesting …..this guy has been a senate aide for longer (31 years) than his paramour has been breathing (26 years)????? He hooked up with her while she was a "journalism" student.
Do we see a "Me TOO" defense in her future? or maybe it a bit more like Stormy
Well, this certainly makes things a whole lot more interesting.
Especially because this actually happened and isn't speculation that he MIGHT be indicted or arrested like so many threads around here from both sides.
