Manafort has been treated so UNFAIRLY by this political deep state witch hunt. Every defendant has the CONSTITUTIONAL right to contact his Russian spy friend and tamper with witnesses. UNFAIR! Mueller BAD!

Someone who is innocent wouldn't work so hard to tamper with witnesses and evidence.
I'm sure Manafort appreciates your loyalty though.
Manafort won't flip because those that he would expose have a much 'deeper state' and extract revenge. All he can do is to try for a trial ending in not guilty. If he violated Fed income tax laws he doubtless violated state law so a pardon won't get him far.

I think if he were going to flip, he would have done it by now. So presumably he's resting his hopes on a not guilty verdict or a pardon. It's not like Trump could be any more frenetic about his willingness to dole out pardons, after all.
Also indicted Manafort's Russian aide, raises more questions regarding others involved in his shady Hapsburg Group.
Quote:
The indictment, filed by Mueller in District of Columbia federal court, included new counts against Trump’s former campaign chair Paul Manafort and the operative, Manafort aide Konstantin Kilimnik, for tampering with witnesses about their lobbying for Ukraine.

Trump is going to be busy man handing out pardons for all his people.
“This indictment could be very important from a political perspective,” said Mariotti, a Democrat who is running for Illinois attorney general. “You now have the former chairman of the Trump campaign charged with conspiring with a suspected Russian intelligence operative. That’s quite astounding.”
Is there a line he could cross that will make them act?
