As someone who has spent several years in retail, I can assure you that the welfare queen is, in fact, a viable and reproducing species. Denying that they exist doesn't change the fact of their existence.
Do some research, and you'll find that there are even websites which teach people how to scam the welfare system.
Did you personally examine the financial situation of your retail customers? Or did you just make assumptions?

When someone is standing in line making deals with another person about how much cash will be exchanged for x amount of food stamps, it's fairly easy to spot the welfare fraud. When someone is standing there bragging about the brand new car they just bought while paying for their snacks with a SNAP card, it's really obvious.
You can deny that welfare fraud exists, and you can deny that people intentionally game the system in order to live off of other people's money. Your denial, however, doesn't outweigh the multiple cases of welfare fraud that I have seen over the years.

Oh I'm sure it exists I just don't think it is the majority of recipients and frankly I would prefer we focus on the hotshot bankers who wrecked the economy than someone getting 40 bucks for food stamps.

Assuming that there are welfare queens, they probably cost me a few bucks a month in taxes. They really don’t have the power to ruin my life.
My employer, however, can legally fire me for no reason at all. They could demand that I work 80 hours/week for a pay cut if they wanted.
The big banks can make exotic bets on speculative bubbles with my savings. The big banks can bring down the whole economy and demand bailouts paid for by my tax dollars.
Who is it that has the power to ruin my life? Who is it that is really picking my pocket? The supposed welfare queens? Or a certain other segment of society?
I didn't know that Prescott Bush was a liberal, or Henry Ford for that matter....
Yea calling american corporations "liberal" was a pretty big blunder on his part, but I suppose its be expected for someone who has a shallow knowledge of history.
