I think Trump supporters are too deraged to realize that these reports aren't from some angry left-wing journalist.

These reports about high-level Russian officials funneling tens of millions of dollars through the NRA are coming from ongoing Department of Justice investigations.

Sorry, Trumplings.

That article quotes the McClatchy one lol. As someone pointed out, they tend to make claims without any evidence

It's coming from a McClatchy, a clown that said there was proof that Cohen went to Prague.

The NRA really should have hired Hillary Clinton. She has far more expertise with regard to receiving Russian donations than any other American. And besides, she's looking for a job. It would give her something to do other than blaming EVERYONE for her being a lousy candidate.

What exactly did Trump get from the Russians to help him beat Hillary? I still don't get it.

The NRA didn't need Russians to tell them that the Second amendment was going to attacked if Hillary had won.

Campaign donations are limited by law so it wasn't like the NRA could funnel millions towards Trump. The individual NRA members of course could send the max allowed by law but once again they did not need any prompting from a foreign entity to see that Hillary and the Dems are no friends of the Second amendment.

So that means we are back to the Russians influencing the election by somehow brainwashing people through fake news and sway them toward Trump with false advertisements.

And what kind of advice would they give him? "To win, comrade, you need to give the people a solid message of hope for the future and on election day get more votes than your rival".

UGH!

When can we finally put this foolishness to rest? Hillary was a lousy candidate. Trump was a powerful speaker who was moving the crowds with his nonstop campaigning.

Hillary was going through the motions while Trump was working hard.

He didn't need any Russians to help him.

To reiterate from the quote in the op:
Quote:
The contacts have emerged amid a deepening Justice Department investigation into whether Russian banker and lifetime NRA member Alexander Torshin illegally channeled money through the gun rights group to add financial firepower to Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential bid...The Russians talked and dined with NRA representatives, mainly in Moscow...

It consists of two sections, 18 U.S.C. § 1956 and 18 U.S.C. § 1957. It for the first time in the United States criminalized money laundering.

I'm sure the Justice Department will let you and all know about this and all manner of other interesting matters WHEN THE INVESTIGATION IS COMPLETE.

Your Cliff Note leaves out the important stuff. I could just see you being questioned on the witness stand.
"So prospect, what did you observe at the Moscow meeting of the NRA leadership, the major donors to the Trump campaign, the Russian government representatives, the Russian oligarchs and NRA member Torshin, known for involvement in money-laundering activities?"

prospect: "Uh, they had a nice lunch and a good talk."

Judge: "Can you elaborate further? "

prospect: "On what, yuh honor?"

This from one who swallows whole every lie that escapes Trump's lips.

Campaign donations are limited by law so it wasn't like the NRA could funnel millions towards Trump... Duh! Since when did entities like the Russians, money launderers, the massive NRA and "by hook or by crook" Trump let a little thing like law get in their way?

So that means we are back to the Russians influencing the election by somehow brainwashing people through fake news and sway them toward Trump with false advertisements...and infusing massive quantities of money laundered funds to keep Trump going (among other things).

Trump was a powerful speaker who was moving the crowds with his nonstop campaigning. Yep a minority in our country voted for sociopathy, corruptness and pathological lying bolstered and supported by funds from all those corrupt entities including the usual culprits above.

He didn't need any Russians to help him. Trump has never been about need. Rich Trump has always been about want. He wanted to be the big dog and the Russians wanted to have a tool, a fool and an inside man, so they bought one. Trumpy, roll over for Vlad. Good boy! Earn those treats.

Oh my. Look at the NRA backpedal. LOL!

In the picture below, you see MULTIPLE NRA officials and Fox News correspondents standing next to Maria Butina, the Russian spy who pled guilty to being a Russian operative and said her mission was to infiltrate the NRA. LOL!
