Now I have given you my evidence; what is yours? Figments of your imagination do not count as evidence.

The key is Trump voters. Not Republicans as a whole.

Corker called out his own party's behavior for being cultish towards Trump. With Trump it is all personal. His foreign policy
Is not based on US interests but how Trump feels. Trump demands loyalty to Trump and Trump alone. Cult is an appropriate term for his supporters because that is what Trump demands.

A Congress-person's role is represent people.

We have this division between Executive and Legislative branch for a reason.

The Right was quick to point to that division.
My, how quickly we forget...
The voters in SC wanted a representative that backed their president, they voted accordingly.

I honestly don't know what's so hard to understand about that.

I could be wrong but even under the division during the last presidency there were moments where crossing political lines wasn't seen as suicide.

It seems now that if a Republican dare even consider, let alone think about, a Liberal idea they get reprimanded by El Jefe.
This is just normal and reasonable. The GOP base is pretty conservative (generally to the right of Trump, IMO). Much of the base has been long frustrated by having conservative efforts torpedoed not by Democrats, but by people in their own party.

This goes back a long way. Reagan said that he had to often fight harder against Senate Republicans to get things done than he did Democrats. Some house Republicans in the Gingrich era, including John Kasich wanted to eliminate the Depts of Energy, Education, and Commerce. Kasich actually drafted a budget that did that, as House Budget chair. It was thwarted by 'old bull' GOP members like Bud Schuster (R, PA) who had watched Dems dole out pork for 40 years, and figured now it was their turn.

Or it could be Corker is a donor class shill who is leaving the senate, and those that are staying told him to p*ss off.

Trump has made it very clear that he doesn't care what the lobbyist, and the bought, and paid for US Chamber of Commerce want, he is going to work towards more fair, and balanced trade deals.

Bob Corker is now being called a RINO. Ditto Jeff Flake. Flake is my senator, and he’s so far to the right that he got both of his left limbs amputated.

So what gives Right Wingers? Must the whole party genuflect at the sound of all Trump edicts?
What republicans? Thought they went extinct with their *** kissing?

Republicans don't exist anymore. It's just their spineless husks left.

Arbitrary distinction. The NR is an important conservative voice that reflects what many conservatives (including elected) believe about Trump.

If you want to find an elected Republican who disagrees, at least sometimes, with Trump, google is your friend. I know several personally

Wutitiz: What you refer to as an "absurd meme" did NOT refer to all Republicans. I believe that it is well known that all Republicans are not Trump supporters. It is pretty obvious to anyone who looks that extreme Trumpism is cult-like, and that anyone who disagrees with Trump becomes labeled as a RINO or a traitor, etc. So if you didn't vote for Trump, you may not be in that tribe, and you don't have to feel insulted about this. Why take offense to something not directed at you?
