So Comey acted inappropriately by coming out days before the election and announcing more email inquiry. I think both sides agree on that. It probably got Trump elected so I don't see what the Trumpies are howling about. For the same reason, the Hillbots should not be defending Comey.
Its amazing how primitive Strzok and Page are in their conversations.
They are like school children.
Comey also sounds like an amateur when he talks about how hard his decisions are etc.
Definitely not an example of America's finest.
Look through your texts. You will find most of them like this. Its not a reflection on who the person is, but rather how we use texts.
As for this report, the rumors I have heard are accurate. Its a big ol nothingburger. But with some pretty accurate criticisms of some of the folks involved. Which honestly....hindsight is 20/20. We can second guess people pretty easily, but without any intent to do wrong intentionally, its just people making mistakes.
I am interested in the mcCabe parts of it.

Comey had multiple bad choices. In the end he picked this one. The other one though was worse given his understanding at the time. If he concealed this, and Clinton won-the howling about it would be completely insane. If he concealed it and Trump won-Trump would have bludgeoned everyone with it.
Comeys other choice was to tell congress about reopening it.
It was against the morns, but the underlying problem was that folks knew about the earlier investigation already. So he had a tough call-and NONE of his choices were good.
So now we find out that the FBI deleted and hid Strzok/Page texts from Congress & the IG.
Page: He's never going to become president, right? RIGHT?
Strzok: What prompted the Trump comment last night?
Page: Just reading the times.
Strzok: Funny (redacted) is here. Has a 10:30 with Steinbach.
etc. etc.
Problem is the FBI deleted the following Strzok text responding to Lisa Page's concern about Trump never becoming president right? Right?....
Yeah, nothing burger like a very high top FBI official who oversaw the Clinton email investigation saying they will stop Trump from being President.
Same guy who had a backup plan. Wonder is he meant the Russia con sting.
This man should be terminated from the FBI just like James Comey. FBI agent Peter Strzok texted a fellow bureau official in August 2016 that “we’ll stop” Donald Trump from becoming president, the Justice Department inspector general reportedly reveals in his highly anticipated report on the Hillary Clinton email case.
The Washington Post reported that Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report includes an August 2016 text message exchange between Strzok and then-FBI lawyer Lisa Page about Trump’s chance of being elected president.
“[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!” Page texted Strzok.
“No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it,” Strzok responded.
Page and Baker have been fired, I would have to go back and check my notes on Strzok - bottom line is that any of them that will be charged criminally will be (or have been) "fired". The DOJ is required by law & union rules to provide a legal defense for anyone charged .... so the Trump DOJ will make sure they are no longer employees. I think Strzok will be charged. A major take-away here is to remember that all the same people in this report were also leading the Mueller Investigation - Page-Strzok-James Baker & others.
For those who are not familiar with reading these reports -- Pay close attention to the Footnote, always a lot of important information in the footnotes.
The Justice Department has issued a stinging rebuke to the FBI for its handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
The report released Thursday calls former FBI Director James Comey “insubordinate” and says his actions were “extraordinary.”
But the report, by the department’s watchdog, does not find evidence that Comey was motivated by political bias or preference in his decisions.
The report criticized Comey for publicly announcing his recommendation against criminal charges for Clinton. It also faulted him for alerting Congress days before the 2016 election that the investigation was being reopened because of newly discovered emails.
I would argue this report is NOT a nothing burger. It is important to clear the air.
