So, the Trump family collected tax free money that was supposed to be for charity, and used it to pay off personal settlements and buy politicians? This should be interesting. Time and time again, they remind me of the mob. No wonder Trump didn't want to reveal his taxes.

The president and his kids used the Trump Foundation as a slush fund to play politics and settle personal business, New York’s attorney general claims.

Then he'd be donating to the charity. It would show up as a donation and part of the revenue the charity receives. This is what Sactown means by not mingling funds - Trump's money and the charity's money is supposed to be separated, when it moves from Trump's pocket to the charity, it's a donation.

It's funny how Trump does all the things that the Right accuses Hillary of, eh?

The REAL scandal is that Trump claims to be a billionaire but only gave $19M to charity. If he even gave that!

That would be considered donations to the charity, and would count towards money taken in.
He would have had to have donated a whole lot as well, because if not, he's implying that the charity had no expenses, which we also know to be false.

In the overall scheme of things, his tweet is just another tweet in which he lied to the American people.

The actual suit by the new AG is big news though, especially if the IRS and FEC take it up.

Edit: I see Vacoder and beb0p got to this before me. Looks like you guys see it the same way. I wonder if the AG ends up using his tweet against him, would be hilarious.

I'll go out on a limb and say this isn't going anywhere.

Please post a news story detailing a lawsuit brought against the Clinton Foundation for misappropriating funds, and fraud.

If there's any evidence attached. that would be the cherry on top and you could show the world how you destroyed the Liberals.
