And there's that Catholic girl upbringing again. Don't have sex unless you want a baby. Well, the Church has indoctrinated you well. Women shouldn't enjoy sex for itself, but should only engage in it if they want to get pregnant.
We're not all Catholic, Janelle. Some of us enjoy sex for the pleasure we get from it.

Being forced to carry a pregnancy to term when you are not ready is a punishment. What else is it? I mean, is it a gift to go through 9 months of pregnancy and a potentially tough labor to wind up with a baby you were not ready to have and permanent damage to your body from carrying and delivering said baby?
Oh, why not ask all the women who got pregnant before the pill was invented. Pregnancy is not an illness, it should not wreck your body. Women have had babies throughout history and most have lived. You make it sound like it's a fatal disease.
I swear some women make it sound like they hate babies and being mothers now.

Yes, that is what I posted. Ready for a baby since sex potentially makes babies if you are healthy and not sterile. Engage at your own risk, duh. Plus if you have an oops, have the baby. That is what women use to do. Grow up for God's sake.
I think you mean "coercion" and yes... some women are coerced. Because the fathers DO NOT WANT THESE KIDS.
So... already, the baby, if it is born, will start out in a bad way and so will the mom. Do you want to support her child for 18 years because she cannot afford to and the father does not want to?
Do you support ripping away the child you forced her to have, that she may well not want to give up after she has had to carry it for 9 months and has had it damage her body, to throw it into a foster home or up it up for adoption?
Abortions are done for convenience. It is very convenient not to have to carry a pregnancy full term when you are not ready. It is very convenient to have access to a medical procedure done in a safe facility.
You know that back-alley abortions will be what women are having if they cannot have safe abortions, right?
So, rich women will go to Canada and poor ones will wind up dead or so damaged that they may never be able to have kids in the future.
Do you want your tax dollars to pay for 18 years of raising a child? How about a lifetime of disability for a woman who had a botched abortion?
Best control is control over yourself and your partner. If you can't do that then you can't be put in charge of much else.
