I would bet that pretty much everyone agrees with this, but lots of people are making lots of money on birth tourism so as long as that is allowed to go on, it will go on.
I would bet that isn't true. As long as it's in the Constitution it will go on.
Birthright citizenship is a bunch of horse hockey.
Because your mother can manage to give birth on foreign soil should not make you a citizen of that country and give your parents and all your siblings the right to live and work in said country.
If you look at CA's budget today vs. 30 years ago the main item that has expanded it so much are programs providing healthcare, lunch subsidy, schooling, housing subsidy etc. for low income people (mainly benefiting children)
Not arguing right or wrong but if you get a large influx of low-income people (legal or otherwise) you're going to have a lot more social services costs relative to additional tax base.
This is a non sequitur. Texas property tax rates have always been rather high. Little or nothing to do with a rant about immigrants (documented or not).

What reason would those who benefit from birth tourism, etc. have to advocate for amending the Constitution?
For all his birther and anti-immigration talk, has Trump suggested putting it before Congress?
Seems to me, if he really wanted to make a difference in this area, that would have right up there on his agenda, but so far...crickets.
This discussion is all academic anyway since the OP never did offer any evidence that the reason that property taxes are high in El Paso is due to anchor babies.

Not my problem as I see no reason to change it.

Children born of American citizens and naturalized citizens should be automatic citizens.
If both your parents are Chinese citizens and their main residence is in China and you were born in the USA while they were vacationing here, you should not be an American citizen, but a Chinese citizen. If your parents are Mexican citizens in the country illegally and you are born while they are in the US illegally, you should not be an American citizen, but a Mexican citizen.
If your American parents are vacationing in France at the time of your birth, you should be an American citizen, not a French citizen.
