I for one welcome this well thought-out, and sure to be very effective, piece of legislation! We all know that childhood obesity is caused by the access to a free soda when buying a children's meal at a sit-down restaurant, and finally, we can eliminate said beverage (or at least until the parents request it). It will be easy to enforce too! We just need a government worker at every restaurant in the state, eavesdropping on every order taken, to make sure the waiter / waitress doesn't offer a free soda or chocolate milk when a children's meal is ordered.
Guess it’s similar to the stupid plastic bag ban in CA
They still offer plastic bags at the grocery store but you have to pay 10 cents for each one .
It is not only CA. Suffolk County, Long Island, has done this as well. Problem is that I have two cats. I use those plastic bags to scoop their litter. If I throw it down my toilet, it will clog my septic tank. Happened before, despite what they say. Walk cats outside on a leash? lol
The plastic bags I don't use are put in the recycle can.

I use the produce plastic bags for the cat box.
You can leash train a 10 yo cat. We had to do it for a move. We were going to be on the road for 3 days. And were afraid the cat would jump out of the car when the door was opened. We needed to be able to keep up with her when she was allowed out.
