Melania didn't seem to be present at Trump's reception for families of those killed by illegals yesterday, though Pence was there standing in as side-kick.
This would have seemed to have been an obvious event for her to have attended - right there in the White House, no need to say much, just greet people pleasantly, state sadness for their losses, drink tea and look appropriate for the photographers.
Bet she wouldn't have worn that jacket to such an occasion - but what does her entire absence say?? What else was going on that took precedence for Melania? Was her absence another deliberate choice?
Perhaps her absence was her way of saying she doesn't really care.
That said, I seriously think something is wrong with these celebs. Their thought processes are not rational.

How about the leader of the Dem Party, old "crumbs" Pelosi. Now there's an Alzheimers-afflicted, utterly out-of-touch nutter. And she LEADS the party!!
So when she was seen wearing the jacket, how could anyone be confused in any way about where her heart was in regard to the children. The statement on the jacket may mean something to her, and may be a message to someone, but any rational person could not conclude that the message was intended for the children or the parents. Yet, these celebs went off a cliff with attacks on the woman. It's like their reasoning capacities are in some kind of Quixotic state of cognitive confusion.
So the rabid, deranged attacks on the woman are unwarranted!
Actually, my guess on why she wore that jacket, is that she wanted to trigger the aforementioned leftist fanatics into more paroxysms of screaming, lies, and rage... over nothing. And thereby show the world just how silly and hysterical these people can be with the smallest flick of her finger. And she succeeded, bigly!

Or - and this is a stretch, admittedly - she recognized the hypocrisy, blatant politicism and insincerity of having such a reception at such a time, and wanted nothing to do with Trump's using grieving families for political purposes. This would go along with the theory that the jacket's message was directed at Trump.

This tale surfaced when Melania's recuperation from surgery took far longer than expected and various theories were floated. The story does tie in to the jacket as retribution theory, and also with Melania's absence yesterday.

So, deliberately "triggering" people to get a reaction is an admirable trait?
That's kind of depressing. You are labeling all Democrats as "silly" and "hysterical," yet have had very little to say to liberals who have refrained from condemning Melania Trump as the Wicked Witch of Washington, but still question the wisdom and motivation of her actions. Why is that? She is the First Lady. First Ladies are always scrutinized; it's an absolute given. I sometimes pity them for that, but it's certainly nothing new.
