I agree with this. Unfortunately immorality + liberty = misery in many cases. I suppose that is why people who do not appreciate liberty often promote immorality.
Well, most religious people aren't moral. They violate their own covenants gratuitously. And countless atheists and agnostics are more moral than the most religious fanatics. That's quite the conundrum, then.

And just WHOM is to be trusted in determining WHAT is moral and WHAT is immoral?
Fake people hide behind religion like Pence who talks to American Jesus, the Jesus who only cares about rich white kids. Trump is immoral on all grounds. All he cares about if power and money and stewing in his own hatred of anyone who does not agree with his foolish ways.

In Adams's day, slavery was considered moral, should we be applying the standards of his days to today?
