Trumps Travel Ban Upheld By SCOTUS!
It's kind of a no-brainer. A duly elected President of the United States needs to have such power and he needs to be able to exercise it without the 9th District Court stopping him on it. There have been times in the past when allowing people from certain hostile nations to travel to the USA freely was a terrible idea. Allowing free travel to the British during the War of 1812, the Mexicans during the Mexican American War, the Spanish during the Spanish American War, the Germans, Austrians and Ottomans during World War I, etc. You don't just leave the door wide open for enemies who want to kill you to come right in unimpeded.

ISIS and Al Qeda want to kill Americans. Countless other extremist Muslim groups want to kill Americans. Preventing people from coming into the United States from nations where these groups are extremely active without substantial vetting is just stupid. Telling the POTUS that he can't restrict travel on them is equally stupid. Even if you believe that Trump's travel ban is a terrible idea, setting a judicial precedent preventing a President from taking immediate action to protect the United States from legitimate threats in the future is a really bad precedent to make.

This is not about terrorism. The countries in the ban committed 7% of all terrorism, 0 americans dead. The other 93% of terrorist attacks have been committed by u.s. allies like saudi arabia and thousands of americans have died.

So if this is not about terrorism what is it about? Money.

Afganistan, iraq, libya, syria, etc. were attacked because their finances were controlled by their own rich people. Western people weren't allowed to profit out the list of countries that general wesley clark talked about. They have made little advance in this direction; overall these countries remain a chaos. Syria was destroyed by thousands of bombs and western backed terrorists and still syria won the war. Syrians is probably going to need investing but certainly not going to allowed western people. Only Lebanon and Iran, maybe russia.

This is what all this wars and travel bans is all about. Taking control of their financial system. Iran is the gold trophy. But having failed in syria, they are far from winning.

I will be reading the opinion today. However, anyone jumping for joy must be clueless. The countries that have been the source of terrorists that have taken many lives have not been banned - Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE and Lebanon. Terrorists from those 4 nations have taken over 150 lives each.

The most lives taken by terrorists from a banned nation has been 2. I feel very sorry for people who are being punished for the acts of people from other countries.

Ok, so you're saying you want the travel ban extended? Your criticism is that it doesn't go far enough?

Here is something funny about the travel ban it's only against some Muslim/African countries, but not against the 4 Muslim countries that had hijackers from 9/11 which are the 4 countries that Trump has business dealings in.

Touche'

They would claim that was terrible too. It really doesnt matter what bans are placed by the current Administration, Leftist will complain. They were fine with Obama Destroying Libya, almost doing the same in Syria, surging in Afganistan, and attacking Yemen, which only further added fuel to the Terrorist Religian. They were fine with Obama releasing Terrorist who they knew were returning to the battlefield.

What Leftist want means nothing.

Islamist have no borders as we see from their Terrorists groups in almost Every country in the world. ISIS and Al-Queda have no problems recruiting from every country in the world. They are a threat regardless of country they are from, including the US.

I do not know how many were fine with it but indeed very, very few were willing to speak up. Thinking about it......far too many voted for more of it with Hillary but to be fair, these were Democrats, not "leftists". They are not one in the same in all cases.

It seems we have no borders either. We certainly do not respect the borders of other countries so why should they ours?

I think the point was that if this was about terrorists he had the wrong countries. A ban on Iran and North Korea makes no sense, besides this wasn't even Homelands recommendation to begin with and certainly not based on terror.
