A poll here, mostly directed toward liberals but anyone can answer. With all the snowflakery these days, debates over the rebel flag and Confederate monuments, Trump's statement, sports mascots, etc......so when should something be considered offensive? What percent of people need to find something offensive for it to be offensive????

How small of a minority does a society have to cater to in order to respect their sensibilities? For example is it right for a school of 500 students to no longer have prayer at graduation just because 10 kids are offended? Over 70% of Americans don't find the Confederate flag to be racist yet so many places have taken it down same with Confederate monuments. Someone got fired for posting on her personal Facebook account that a black thug who was killed by cops was stupid, though this thug was indeed caught in the middle of a crime, led cops on a chase and reached into his pocket.

I'll just judge for myself and not give a **** about how many agree. I'll gladly discuss my reasons and listen to other's to continuously evaluate my position. The relative number that agree or don't means nothing.

Right or wrong when you bring your beliefs into public light there may be consequences. Big mouth beware and know your audience.

One complaining liberal can be offended by something and it becomes national news.

It's not the percentage that determines that. If you are among the select few protected groups, you determine what you are offended by.

Nice reponses here. But look at the people who really claim if a single person is offended by something.

Seriously, there are people offended by fishing, the circus, horse drawn carriage rides (Bill DiBlasio tried to ban these in Central Park), and of course by eating meat. Chick fil A has come under more opposition now because people say their eat more chikin commercials is in "poor taste" because one animal is convincing people to eat another animal......

People are also offended by terms like "ghetto" or "illegal immigrant". Some radical feminists are offended by a man offering to pay on the first date or a man opening a door for a woman or a man saying ladies first.....

Wow some people think that if a single person (probably them) is offended then it should be considered offensive?
Where does this kind of selfish reasoning come from?
Just because a person thinks something is offensive doesn't make it offensive. Maybe the person who has those feelings needs to deal with it instead of imposing their ideals on everyone else.
