Stop trying to blame it on the party you hate. There is absolutely nothing stopping authorities from prosecuting the employers now.
Well, nothing other than desire.

I don't hate the Democrats I just oppose their policies. Since they did vote down e-verify in the past
they certainly are to blame for that. How can you say otherwise? I know there are some GOPers that don't want it either.

The laws are being enforced under Trump against the employers that have "knowingly" hired illegal aliens so what are you talking about? Read my prior post where I have denoted how many illegal aliens use authentic looking fake documents to fool the employers. That's not to say that many or some employers know it and hire them anyway. There are two guilty parties here. The employers and the illegal aliens themselves.

But, but, but Trump Org claims it is impossible to find locals " in season". The county disagrees.

Trump Org could run vans between geographic locations within the county the way other seasonal employers do.

Trump Org could pay more and poach from the competition.

Or, Trump Org could bury a Help Wanted in the back of some local paper and claim there are no takers.

H2B visas are good for three years and may be extended. I suspect Trump Org relocates some to other Trump Org properties during the Summer months.

I don't think that the bulk of the undocumented employees will self deport they'll just find someone who pays them cash. There are a lot of people who are willing to pay cash because they know they usually will worker harder than US citizens.

Seems many employers claim they had no knowledge they employed undocumented people.

11-12 million people in the US illegally and we are supposed to believe they all have fake IDs.

Biometric eVerify could put a serious dent in those employer claims provided they were required to use it.

How come the largest US employers don't end up with tens of thousands of undocumented people on their payroll? Could it be that they use eVerify, despite not being required to do so.

The powerful state and national Chamber of Commerce lobbies look out for their members.

30+ years of doing nothing is no accident. It has not mattered who sat the oval or held the majority.

Congress and whomever is sitting the oval hide behind the Big Deal prospect instead of a simple straight up bill with no pork, making eVerify a Federal Law and offense to not use it.

Let's see that roll call.

Often times when I read these accounts of big raids, it is reported that they occur in communities populated to a great extent by illegals. Not large cities where people can melt into the shadows but small, tight-knit communities where people seem to know each other, go to church together, send their kids to school together, etc.

And we're supposed to believe that the employers don't know that they are illegal??

As you noted, the chambers look out for their own.

The overwhelming majority of small businesses have no payroll.

When they need a service, they tend to pay cash to documented and undocumented people.

Let's be fair here, when have the Democrats done anything about this issue when they held the majority in both the House and Senate and had a Democrat president? Currently the Republicans are at odds with each other and can't seem to agree on much. So them holding a majority in congress is irrelevant.

Trump had e-verify in his 2018 budget. It probably got scrapped by the Democrats and some sell out Republicans just like before.
