And when it was cold the rest of June, it was "just weather"

I don't think the founding fathers were trying to solve all the world's problems. They were focused on making America a great country and they succeeded.

I thought the perception of the left was conservatives were all evangelical Christians most of which like the Mormons are not suppose to drink. Almost all the dry counties are in conservative areas. But you are saying they are at bars all day drinking to avoid dealing with climate change?

There are valid points that Trumpers should listen to regarding climate change. But the back and forth insults don't do any good at all.

Burn schmurn. It's summer time. It's hot. What's new?

The weather has been changing since earth's creation. To quote a sage old book:

"There will come a time when earth shall burn as an oven".

I am all for preserving and being good stewards of the earth as are most Americans.

I don't worship the earth and I don't live in fear as if the sky is falling.

Liberals are driven by living in fear. If not for fear of some catastrophe they wouldn't be motivated to get up out of bed in the morning.

I have my coffee.

So it's bull$hit fake news spin doctoring. Old people in Quebec with health issues die. Oh, and it happens to be summer and they chose not to own air conditioners. Such utter nonsense.

Oh look! In 1940 there was a heatwave in Queensland and 80 people died. Big whoop!

Oh look, another one in 1936. Big whoop!

There are ALWAYS heat waves in the summer. That's why it's not winter. And a few old sick people die when there is a heat wave in the summer. That's not remarkable. 20 old sick people dying during a summer heat wave in Quebec is FAKE NEWS.

200 old sick Indians died in their teepees in South Dakota in 1649 during a summer heat wave. I'm sure it happened. Old humans with health issues are not going to do well in summer heat. They die. It's not news.

The truth is, until the satellite era, we had no way to accurately measure the Earth's surface temperature.

Claims that current surface temperatures are the hottest in a century are based on a temperature record that has simply never existed.

Moreover, we know from the Medievil Warm Period as well as the Little Ice Age that surface temperatures fluctuate over time and that they do this independent of atmospheric CO2 concentrations.

Warmers tend to overstate the cause and effect relationship between CO2 and temperature while many other factors impacting surface temperature, such as cloud cover, are generally ignored.
Exactly. You need 10,000 years of data to make it even interesting. Call me in 11,000. And meanwhile, no effing Carbon Tax that is effectively a redistribution scheme designed to strip productive countries of their wealth to pay off third world countries NOT TO DEVELOP. This is the biggest bull$hit welfare racket ever conceived. Meanwhile, we'll adapt. Cities move inland, construction jobs for decades. Low lying island nation? Move. There is no compelling reason to demand to live where it floods. It's a choice. Make another one.

The key is to adapt to the climate, not attempt to modify it. And that adaptation must be free and voluntary and market-based.
