Still, it would be nice to see what little free speech the UKSSR actually allows to be equally applied to all.

They actually found a comedian guilty earlier this year for mocking Nazis by training his girlfriend's pug dog to Sieg Heil. Embarrassingly enough, even Adolf Hitler's Germany gave up on pursuing an almost identical case. Lesson learned: Don't you dare mock Nazis in the United Kingdom or they'll come for you!

Like I said, these people need all the practice at free speech they can get!!
The dog responded with a salute when it's owner said the words, 'gas the Jews.' He got in trouble for that, not the saluting dog, or mocking Nazis........

As for the blimp....... you like it, don't you?........

This is hilarious. We're talking about a balloon. I know it may offend those that think Trump is the Kim Jong Un of the USA.

This cant be good for his blood pressure. He needs to take a chill pill before a stroke or heart attack creeps up on him while he tweets on the toilet at 3am.

It's still just a joke. If you watched the video you'd know what he was doing. He said he was sick of his girlfriend going on and on about how cute her pug dog was. He decided to turn the dog into the least cute and worst thing he could think of: A Nazi. In other words, Count Dankula really hates Nazis. The more you know about Mark Meacham the more ridiculous the whole court case gets. They guy was a hammer and sickle tattooed Communist for years and never a fan of Nazis. There's also a problem with demonstrating intent to spread hate speech. He had about six YouTube followers when he posted the video, so logically his message (if there ever was one) had an intended audience of six. So it was a inside joke among a small group of friends. Not his fault that the video went viral.

The thing that the UK just doesn't seem to comprehend: Freedom of speech is actually about protecting offensive speech -- aka hate speech. Nobody is going to come for you if you just spout the current government approved politically correct talking points. Nobody is going to bother you if you never offend anyone. The right to free speech is the right to be a complete butthole, saying things that are shocking and upsetting. They're just words. Bad ideas are still bad ideas even when you can't ban people from saying them. When the can say them, the whole world can see how stupid they really are.

Actually I do. Trump is an obnoxious loudmouthed prick and he deserves to be mocked. (So does Theresa May, but for completely different reasons.) But if a group of people can be dicks making fun of Donald Trump, why can't Mark Meacham teach his dog to Sieg Heil when he says "gas the Jews"? Why can't Tommy Robinson criticize Islam? Why can't Milo Yiannopoulos act like an SOB for the LOLs? The UK needs to be willing to allow free speech from all sides. The Trump baby-blimp kinda seems like it's only being allowed because the PC police approve of and agree with the message. Would greeting Barack Obama with a monkey-Obama blimp done up in Arabic clothes and holding a bloody scimitar have been allowed? If not, why not? If one side gets to be a bunch of dicks, why not everyone else?

Therein lies the UK's free speech problem. Not everyone is equally free to say whatever they want.

But he said it to the dog. Unless the dog had the capability to understand and carry out the instruction it doesn't seem like a threat or incitement- obviously part of the joke mocking Nazis.

Beat me to it.

I posted a thread about the blimp a week or two ago when the decision...allow or not allow....had yet to be made. Some POTUS ultra cheerleaders posted displeasure in that thread.

The OP of this thread didn't post a link in the OP.

I wonder if he/she (this thread's OP) realizes that the blimp in question is in the UK .

I thought the same thing after reading the 'lawsuit loss re restaurant expulsion for MAGA hat' link (that BruSan provided in another thread) being re a restaurant in Manhattan (his 'home').
