If his successor receives the identical same treatment, then you will know that Pruitt was telling the truth.
If the new EPA administrator, Andrew Wheeler, is allowed to do his work with only policy related attacks, then Pruitt was shifting responsibility and being a child.
Which of these scenarios do you think we are going to see now from the "politics of personal destruction" Democrat left?

Aside from his determination to ruin the environment (probably on Trumpollution orders), his behavior was bizarre.
He had a $45k phone booth installed in his office.
He tried to buy used mattresses from his bromantic buddy's Trump hotels.
He had himself driven all over town looking for his favorite moisturizer.
He gave obscene raises to staffers after being told not to.
He rented an apartment from lobbyist at a cheapo rate, and didn't even pay the rent.
He tried to get his wife a $200k job at Chick-Filet.
All of his stupidity and obscenely unethical behavior was paid for by taxpayers. It is disgusting.
There is is something screwy with this guy's head. Even if you put aside the fact that he's not even close to being qualified for his position, he's acted like an unhinged idiot.
This is NOT the fault of the media. This is the fault of the extremely poor judgement of Trump and his weakness in not dumping this swamp monster when it became obvious there was something off about Pruitt.

If you look up "swamp monster" in the dictionary there's a mug shot, I mean picture of him.
It appears to me that some of these investigations are a result of selfish stupidity by Pruitt. But even more were just made up lies by the Democrat left and the press. The selfish stupidity is not wanted in an EPA administrator under a Republican president, who is aggressively trying to clean out the proverbial stables of Hercules after eight years of Obama. Of course this kind of behavior by an Obama EPA administrator would have been ignored, or dismissed as a "phony scandal". We saw a lot of that under Obama, actually.
Pruitt and everyone knew there would be close scrutiny with the agenda he was working on, including overturning a lot of Obama's "Climate change" agenda. Pruitt should have been more careful. This was the case in some instances, but a lot of the other accusations against him were just flat out lies.
Will we see more of the baseless smear tactics by the Democrat left? I hope not, but time will tell. If we see more of the same kind of hysterical rhetoric, it will be time to turn the rhetorical guns on the shameless Democrat left and the media for demonstrating yet again what a bunch of relentless, unprincipled and untrustworthy liars they constantly are.
In any case, Andrew Wheeler will continue with agenda that Scott Pruitt started, without slowing down, and maybe even with some speeding up. Watch and see.
Pruitt needed to be perfectly clean and he would have survived, he did so many foolish things and had to know it would be front page news. There were around 10 things that he did wrong, the EPA is the wrong place for a fossil fuel lobbyist to begin with. Did he think that his trip to Morocco with his entourage would go unnoticed.
Changing regulations is complicated, the rulemaking takes years and travels through the courts, no different than under Obama.

I stopped reading anything after "the Democrat left" given that anyone who uses a pejorative term is not going to post anything honest about what Democrats say or do anyway. (and that's the difference, by the way, an individual member of the Democratic Party is a Democrat, but there is no such thing as the Democrat Party or the Democrat Left, just a nasty little dig by people on the right).
But I did see "made up lies" before that, which just proves that you are dishonest, because these are documented things that Pruitt did, for which he is under investigation. Nothing about his agenda, just his corrupt personal practices. If you willfully close your eyes to that, then there's no point in engaging in dialogue with someone who countenances corruption as long as it's done by the side he or she favors politically.
Super happy to read this. Although, I doubt he'll be replaced by someone who will actually uphold the remit of the organization, this is still encouraging to read.

Self respect has never been a trait that Trump values in his staff. In fact, that would disqualify any candidate for a cabinet position. Only people who are going to stroke Trump’s ego will be hired or promoted. As we have seen time and time again, ability or knowledge have no place in the Trump administration.
Trump’s choices are always bad but Pruitt stands out as exceptionally bad in a nest of rotten eggs. Reading Pruitt’s resignation letter shows that the man is the king of suck-ups and has only limited command of the English language.
The piece of pond scum was done when it came to light about his "rental agreement." He just had the good fortune of having a bad man as his boss who did not make his resign back then.
