Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters is registered to vote at her home in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood in South Los Angeles. The home used to be within the boundaries of her district, until redistricting shifted some of Waters' neighbors into the 37th District now represented by Democratic Rep. Karen Bass.
Waters’ 43rd District is about a three-minute walk from her front door around the corner and across Vermont Avenue.
True she owns a house there but the Vermont Knolls home a few blocks away from the Rodney King Riots flash point that is the 3 minute walk to Vermont is also not the pictured one with the indoor swimming pool. That house is in Mid Wilshire, and it was not her voting address before the reapportionment. A few state level politicians have been charged for that crime but that law does not apply to US Representatives.

Of course she lives in a mansion outside of her district. Folks keep voting this charlatan in. She’s been in office for nearly 30 years and her district is an absolute Moderator cut: inappropriate language
Homes in her district costs twice or even three times what homes in your area costs.
These are homes listed in Hawthorne...the whole city is in her district.
Besides, why do you care about her district so much? Your Congressman is a dope too.
