Lots of controversial cases at the intersection of religion and the law wind up before the Supreme Court.
And, for most of U.S. history, the court, like the country, was dominated by Protestant Christians. But today, it is predominantly Catholic and Jewish
It has become more conservative and is about to get even more so with President Trump's expected pick to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy, who is stepping down from the court at the end of July.
Everyone on President Trump's shortlist, but one, is Catholic. So what, if anything, do the current justices' and potential nominees' faiths tell us — and how has the religious make up of the Supreme Court changed?
"It's extraordinary and unprecedented in American history," said Louis Michael Seidman, a constitutional law professor at Georgetown University, which is affiliated with the Catholic Church. "There was a time when, for example, there was tremendous anti-Catholic bias ... and, of course, there was a time when there was a lot of anti-Semitism, and a lot of that has gone away."
Elections have consequences and when the people think they have been wronged, they make sure it is charged or completely reversed, in the end. We don't fear government here, like the rest of the world fears theirs.
The advantages of being an constitutionally armed public, I guess. No fast ones get pulled.

TRANSLATION: I m sure that any justices who are religious (COUGHamybarrettCOUGH), are guaranteed to rule according to their religion instead of according to what the Constitution says. I have no particular evidence that this is so, and that a justice who has worked their way up and been rigorously impartial so far will throw it all away for religious considerations, but nevertheless I will pretend it's inevitable.
I look forward to the left's soon-to-be-on-display war on successful women & war on religious beliefs. This should help them tremendously with the under 25, White, male, atheist, anarchist demographic.
Personal beliefs, religious or otherwise, do not compromise a judge’s ability to fairly interpret or enforce the law.
Judges cannot—nor should they try to—align our legal system with the Church’s moral teaching whenever the two diverge. The job of a Scotus is not to rule on issues, its to rule on case's. Yes issues come before the court, but ideally there should not be a swing vote. The swing voter becomes a dictator. Facts,Law, and the Constitution. Whoever President Trump nominates, the Democrats will try to block as long as possible, because they are going to be the Dictator, and I don't think they will be a flaming liberal's like President Obama's two picks.
I think Trump supporters would be a lot more happy with the system of government they have in Iran or Saudi Arabia than the US Constitution. That's what they constantly advocate for, only based on their holy book instead.

Iran and Saudi Arabia implements parts of the Sharia (Islamic law) and not fully, particularly the penal code.
Christianity does not have any political or government system involved unlike Islam.
If Jesus was the president, there would be nothing but peace and love
People are over estimating Kennedy stepping down. He's considered the 11th most conservative judge of the 20th century.
It's not the risk of trump appointing a conservative, it's how low the iq poll will he go in selecting one.
