I am delighted at the last 18 months with President Trump.
ACA has been an abomination from inception.
Employer group plans have always been stellar overall. I needed over 20k of various eye surgeries, and via one plan, my out of pocket, net cost was less than $900. Resulted in best vision I had had in 35 years.
a $5k ACA deductible for you vs $900 out of pocket for me. My employee premium portion was $30 every 2 weeks, btw, after tax affect.

And still no response that only immigrants are safe to start new businesses in America because they get coverage from their home countries. Interesting that Trump supporters who are not exactly immigrant friendly, want to be employed by immigrants in order to get their health coverage.
The issue is, now we have a very mean, small-minded cruel and vindictive little orange man as potus. He makes decisions on whims and moods, regardless of their impact. He seems to delight in the suffering of others.
As I keep saying people can pay for their own stuff.

Should we end Medicare then? Medicare beneficiaries only pay about a third of the benefits they receive. They are very heavily supplemented by taxpayers. Should that end?
How far should the "pay for their own stuff" philosophy be taken?

You still don't understand employer healthcare. Ever asked how much your boss is paying for you?
Half the country has access to employer coverage. A lot of employers don't offer it. Why? Cost of course.

They cannot in a system ruled by corporations which prices the stuff at 2 to 3X the price of elsewhere. If we had the brains of the built-up areas of China, for example, we could afford it. $20 for an MRI - same day - and maybe a total of $200 for a broken bone including the MRI and specialists, etc.
Here it is $6,000. We cannot afford that. Hardly anyone can. I am probably among the great minority of people who have paid well more of my way (and others) for decades. Most people don't pay anywhere near the cost (currently, that would be over 42K per year for a family of four...how many pay that?).

When we became self employed I shopped for heath care insurance, I bought very good insurance at a reasonable monthly payment. I needed surgery everything went smooth including paying the deductible, still very reasonable so I was happy with my insurance. After Obamacare, we were forced off our policy and the prices kept skyrocketing to the point we were priced out. So my choice would have been pay $1500 a mobth or pay a fine (tax). Trump got rid of my having to pay for not buying $1500 a month insurance. I'd prefer insurance but at least I don't have to pay the fine. I've been insured all my life up to now because Obamacare price us out.
