So we are disregarding the Equal Protection Clause to create subclasses of citizens. Got it.

Do tell.
Really, is that how you think it works? The courts will appoint an ad litem or attorney for a minor when there is no parent.

However, there's money to be made in kidnapping these kids.

Anyone surprised?
Not at all.

There are apparently several Christian organizations that have been lobbying for the "right" to adopt kids from Central and South America for several years.

They are very big GOP donors.

What easier way to "find" kids to make available for adoption than to steal them from their parents, deport the parents and then claim that the parents abandoned them?

You don't get a Court-appointed attorney in a non-criminal proceeding. At least one immigration judge has taken the position that a 4 year old can represent themselves without a guardian ad litem.

The right has hit a new low, now putting babies through court proceedings and other bizarre nonsense is OK if their parents committed a crime!

Read some of the reports from the court hearings.
These kids have no representation.

The hearing is to move the minor into protective custody (place them in a safe home.) It's a necessary part of the process to move them through the system. It's not to determine innocence or guilt.

It happens every day in America.

Yes, that's obviously what this thread is about. How astute.
