Here's more.

"Ramos had a safe inside the house but left the loaded gun on an entertainment center Friday night."

Very sad! Unnecessary, just as kids dying due to parents neglecting them and being high on drugs/alcohol, pit bulls mauling kids and/or kids left in hot cars to die!

All preventable!

They left the child alone and went into the bedroom for 30 minutes to play video games. Who leaves a two-year-old alone for 30 minutes.

I'm kind of the same way. Between all the mass shootings and kids finding guns and shooting themselves these days, I'm almost kind of desensitized.

Rest peacefully, little one. A young life cut short due to an idiot with a gun.

Interesting. The gun owner is a roommate who had several guns and made a habit of leaving the guns around the house despite there being three children in the home. The father repeatedly told him to lock them up, IMO he should have kicked Ramos out.

After finding the injured child, the fiancé asked Ramos to call 911 and he did not call, resulting in a few minutes delay in calling 911. This man should get the maximum possible sentence. I wonder if all of the guns were even legal.

Yup. All 3 years.

From the 2nd article:

"Ramos could spend up to three years in prison if convicted of the crime."

Why? That is so stupid! I've been around weapons my whole life, they were always put away. They were not locked up, but they were always put away where they belonged. My own handguns, I have always put them in one spot, and if I go to the range, when I come home, after I'm done cleaning, it goes right back into that spot.

Why are people treating these weapons like fricken toys?! It's not a GD toy. This is a highly irresponsible gun owner, and he needs to pay for his negligence. Doesn't matter if he "meant" anything to happen, his stupidity caused this.

I seriously question if he ever took any type of gun safety class. Or was he one of those morons who bought guns without knowing a F9ng thing about them. It's not a "life cut short due to an idiot with a gun", it's a life cut short due to an idiot. End. It was his actions that caused this.
