Someone should have simply went up and grabbed him by the p****.
Pretty sure that would be a full body assault in this case....
Cracks me up that the snowflakes (R's) can't handle name-calling. Oh the horror, they called him a name. I'm trying to figure out if this is fake-outrage, or if they are really that traumatized. Not having to think too hard on it though.
I can agree with most of this. There is a time and place for everything. Politicians should be allowed to go about their business in public in peace.
Well part of protests are to make people uncomfortable and rattle them.
Mitch McConnell has pretty much forfeited any moral high ground, given his scorched earth political tactics he's employed througout his public life, not to mention the policies he's pushed.
The people that confronted McConnell were in the right...until they insulted him and threatened him (reports I read said someone yelled "I know where you live!"). Just because our POTUS personally insults people, doesn't mean our average citizen should do the same. But a line was crossed with the threats.
Outside of that, similar to the Pruitt and Sanders encounters - there is nothing wrong about it at all. What makes eating dinner a special time where no one can talk to you? If he was at his own residence, that's different. He wasn't. He was out in public and people confronted him.
Are people like McConnell, Sanders and Pruitt some part of an elitist group that does not answer to the people? Surely not. If Mitch pushed my kid over on his way across the street, do I not confront him for doing so? If Sanders told me that she'd meet me for dinner but lied about it (on a daily basis), should I not ask her why?
What I'm hearing from people that think that these officials shouldn't be confronted is that as long as they are carrying a snickers bar on them that is ready-to-eat at any time, that they are unapproachable and can't be called to answer for their actions.
I never "WISH ANYONE WAS DEAD". Thats just more unhinged hate talk from the left.
But Dems, keep on screaming "TURTLEHEAD". Thats sure to win you more votes.
I think it was silly, but honestly, given the level of discourse in this country, calling someone "turtlehead" is pretty weak sauce. It's funny as hell, but it barely registers as a tremor on the hate-o-meter.

Name calling has been around forever. Ronnie Raygun, Shrub, Bubba Clinton etc. etc. etc.
Hell, they had an actual cartoon on TV called "Lil' Bush".
That's politics for you.
If you want to protest at their offices, in front of the capital bldg. or at the park across from their house then so be it but these encouraged public situations are over the line and frankly I'm afraid they're going to lead to violence like the softball practice incident and I don't want to see the right-wing start returning the favor.
What they should have done........now I do not know for a fact that he was meeting with lobbyists, but it's McConnell, the odds are good. If he was they should have arrived, went in and pulled up chairs at the table informing them they had every right to be there and listen to what was being discussed.

So, if I called you turtle head on the forum it's the same thing as if I got several of my friends together when you're at the supermarket and surrounded you yelling it?
Heck, we could just gather around you singing "Roll out the Barrell" and it would still be somewhat shocking and intimidating to suddenly have a group gather around yelling at you.
So let's at least be honest here and not just dismiss it as "just name calling".

If the restaurant lets them do it then yes, they can pull up a chair but then they cannot impede those folks from getting up and leaving. The right you are claiming they have is only there if allowed by the owner of the establishment....just like they can kick you out for wearing flip-flops or a beret.
Frankly, if a restaurant gets a reputation for allowing this then they're risking the loss of business.
Me personally, I would not allow any uncivil behavior, shouting etc. as it's not just McConnel they disturbed but pretty much everyone else in the place.
Just THINK about that. The Democrats used to be a fine party with solid, upright people in it. My parents were both lifelong Democrats. Now, you have a mix of hate, insanity, hate, socialism, hate, pink vigina hats, hate, illegal immigrants, hate, antifa thugs, hate, National Anthem kneelers, and hate.
Protesters screaming “turtlehead”... Kindergarteners having a screaming tamtrum. What a WRECK.
Hilarious post, considering the Kindergartner-In-Chief who is at the top of your ticket. Trump has gone out of his way showing us how behaving like a child is done.
But we get it, you don't like it when the other side takes up his tactics. Then it's MEAN!!!
Funny stuff, southeasttexas.
