They also ignore that Poles are the largest immigrant group in the U.K. and the second ones are Indians followed by Pakistanis and Irish/ instead they would rather fear monger about the nearly nonexistent Arab population that is actually quite low crime and Wealthy. Although other Muslim populations aren’t. Even the most Muslim part of the U.K, Tower Hamlets is still safer murder -wise than the average American suburb.

In fact actual Arabs and not including the Wartorn people from the Levant are often known for flashing their wealth in London’s and not bringing crime at all.

You are way overstating the case. Tower Hamlets has the second highest murder rate in London, and London already has a higher murder rate than NYC let alone the suburbs. There is not one suburb in NY state with as high as murder rate as Tower Hamlets, that's bollox. Tower Hamlets doesn't even have the US gun problem, yet its murder rate is still high.

It warned that abusers are still preying on girls across the UK, and called for urgent action from the Government.

Brits claim they have taken care of this problem but they continue to look the other way as their daughters fall victim to these "Asian" rape gangs. Perhaps they should take care of their own before trying to tell us what is wrong with our country.
So what do you propose to do about it? Invade Britain?

And it's not like you're going into a UK-based forum and slamming the UK, as we see people of other countries do here.

The fundamental problem in the UK is a history of cover ups of inconvenient sexual cases (look at the enormous pedophiles-in-high-places scandal that endured for decades) and politicians practically tripping over themselves to avoid any hint or visuals whatsoever of "islamophobia." (The continuing British failure to distinguish between the ideology- Islam, with all its attendant human right issues - and the people themselves who hold the ideology to varying extents or belief and seriousness or non-seriousness - ie Muslim). There is plenty more targets elsewhere for politicians - its a favorite game - even the sanctimonious BBC practically has a story a week condescending about some or other situation in the USA, and compares it unfavorably to the UK. Something not seen in any comparable from in US mainstream press. Even a story in a source as relatively unbiased as the Independent, any hint of it being cultural issue among certain groups will cause all sorts of hand-wringing, specious dismissal and obfuscation to try to normalize anything-can-happen-anywhere reasoning. This (the actual subject of the story) is not a new problem btw, it is ongoing. Add silly protectionist nationalism or jingoism into the mix and you've got a mess, the people losing out being the girls (who are mostly powerless and voiceless as it is).

It's not a question of geographic ignorance. It's a question of terminology.

"Asian" people are people who come from Asia, or who are descended from those who originally did. The continent of Asia spans a vast area from Turkey in the west through India in the south through Russia in the north to Japan in the east. Technically speaking, anyone who comes from any of those places, or is descended from someone who did, could be called "Asian."

But that's not how we've chosen to handle it. In the United States, "Asian" means East Asian and usually Southeast Asian. In England, "Asian" means South Asian. Neither one makes more sense than the other. It's just the way that we've respectively chosen to identify certain people.

In the U.S., this guy would be called Asian. To my knowledge, in the UK he would not.

That just happens to be against the rules. Please don't ask me how I know.

Ugh. No. We'd probably win, then we'd be stuck with all the rape gangs.

Default oh my

The approach the British authorities have taken in response to this national disaster appears largely based on countering secondary issues -- most notably, individuals that protest the grooming, including at one point the arrest of parents attempting to rescue their daughter from her abusers.

There also seems to be a tacit alliance with much of the media to silence public discourse and, when all else fails, outright suppression.

Nothing to see here chaps! Move along!

This is why assimilation is important.
