It's the art of the deal. Something Trump has been doing for years with good results. It keeps everyone on their toes.
Trump was unsuccessful last year with this approach and seems to have made no gains this year -- in spite of his claims (countries denying his claims).
No big agreement signed, no big statements saying they will work towards anything Trump has said.
2014 NATO unanimously agreed to increase their military spending to work towards a guideline of 2%...nothing has changed since then.
So he's not keeping anybody on their toes. He's doing nothing but blowing hot air.
Who is the Russian puppet? Those increasing dependence on Russia or those warning against it?

I still have yet to have the question answered, because if people did, they would understand they (Germany) are paying millions to the country that NATO was set up for....
40% of gas to Germany is coming from Russia,rest of gas is coming from Nederland+Norway+some others.
Russian gas is around 10% from all imported energy.

Uh right, by claiming an agreement of 2%, and a demand for 4%. And he calls it a ‘win’.
Newsflash- no one agreed to anything much other than the existing ratified agreement of 2% by 2024.
Basic negotiating says to always ask for more money than you will settle for. The problem was the defaulting countries said they'd pay but didn't. They knew Obama wouldn't enforce anything. Weak as water.
Perhaps you enjoy higher taxes, paying for things another country's citizen should be paying for.
