Wrong. About 21% goes to "entitlement" programs (which includes Social Security and Medicare, programs that aren't entitlements,) and 16% goes to the war, whoops military budget.

Simple and to the point. When it comes to small things people do have some say, so long as it doesn't get in the way of the big money. Look at what we spend on the military and where it's spent.

Corporations and lobbying groups run this country. Government, through laws, etc pick the winners and losers in the "free market."

The people have the authority, if they will take it.

But they frequently abdicate that power out of apparent disinterest to whoever else will take it on, which is frequently the moneyed interests, including political action committees, lobbying groups, and to a lesser extent, corporations.

Representative democracy, otherwise known as a Republic.

Probably one of the better forms of government........but the problems are glaringly obvious.

Before whining about evil corporations, maybe take issue with QEQEQEQEQEQE, trillion of bucks
