This was NEVER about race. And The Movement started out addressing inner city and minority violence through music and media. There were actually truces started in St. Louis before BLM/DNC hit the scene.
The name of the company who started the movement (who were blackballed by MSM and the Democrats) was created specifically to address the message in Hip Hop and other music.
There are also plenty of other examples of people protesting gun violence. Including a march that happened a week ago.
I agree with you, Harry, and even video in those cases will not change their minds.
There are also some irrational idiots here who will always find the cop guilty, even when videos show evidence that the cop was justified.
As much as I distrust cops - and loathe the crooked cops in Chicago, this guy never should have reached for his gun. Particularly true since Chicago cops are being shot during regular traffic stops.
I view each case individually. Anyone who argues the cops were wrong to shoot this guy is a complete moron.

Yes it was a different situation, the argument is that you are allowed to defend yourself. They assaulted him, he tried to leave but they were obviously having none of that. Might he have pulled a gun in return? Perhaps but he is legally permitted to.
What's funny to me is how these faux patriotic Americans keep ignoring the principles this country was founded on. It's faux patriotism rooted in racism.
It's Patriotism but it only belongs to certain individuals. The others are not full citizens to them. It's cool to carry and be left alone........for them.

Nope. It's not alright for cops to violate our rights or to assault people. But if you think you're going to come out alive by defending yourself with a gun, you're dreaming.
Pulling a gun on a cop is suicide. Surely you know this, right?
After watching the video, two things stand out. The first is that the female cop had NO cause to reach for his arm. NONE, and that is inexcusable. What I don't get (point #2) is why on earth the guy decided to try and pull his gun on the cops. Two wrongs right there. That said, I think the female cops bears the largest responsibility for what happened, even though I don't quite 'get' the guy's actions.
As far as the video goes at best you can argue he might have been trying to pull a gun as he was fleeing and already under fire?
As you note, the officer assaulted him first, he has a right to defend himself.

But the argument does not apply to this situation, so why post it as a defense? Because you assume no one will actually read the article and you’re using it as propaganda? And two, the cops were legally defending themselves. So called legally pulling a gun means you can be legally shot. Three. It is only legal to pull a gun on a cop during a home raid...sometimes.
