Ummm...that's not what you posted. You posted this which said nothing about being grabbed:

What was the "suspicion?" If its not illegal to carry, then why single him out? What was the "reasonable suspicion" he was carrying illegal?
He wasn't under arrest. Where are you coming up with this?

Then go fight with the ACLU - because even they agree that cops can pat you down if they suspect you have a concealed weapon.

Are you saying the American Civil Liberties Union is wrong?

A generalized meaningless statement without context. Pulled over for speeding, they can.

I'm saying you are being intentionally misleading.

Nope. Wrong on both counts.

So it may have been a dumb move on her part but to say that's what prompted him to flee and go for his gun is a stretch. We have no evidence of any of that and don't know what was said.

He was stopped because they saw the gun. A rookie male cop shot him.
Yet, some of the so- called eye- witnesses claim the female officer was the shooter.

It’s rare that any 2 witnesses observe the same thing.

Why did he resist?

Why did he run?

Pretty self explanatory. Neither is a death sentence by law.

And you're not helping your case by stating that he was running... away...

Also. I looove how some are making this guy out to be a thug without knowing him at all. And this female cop is an angel without knowing her at all.

Why don't you ask him?

(I covered possible reasons already)

You are CLUELESS to try to rationalize the ultimate, predictable outcome of his behavior!!!

He was GRABBING at the gun when he was running away. In fact he grabbed at it multiple times during the encounter. EVERYONE has seen several previous examples that, that will get you killed!!!

I don't know if the cops followed proper protocol for stopping him, and if they didn't, I'm all for them being punished to the fullest extent. But how many of these incidents do we need to see for people to understand, that it is better to swallow your pride for a few minutes and live, than to do something that is KNOWN to get you shot??? The mentality just doesn't make sense.

It is terrible that he was shot and killed. But, right or wrong, if he had just completely stopped and put his hands up (not reaching, not running), he would almost certainly still be alive. Then, he could have gotten a lawyer to handle whether the stop was legal.

It's not rocket science. There is a proper way to behave around cops. This pride and these arguments to explain otherwise (and try to prove some point) are futile.

People should not put themselves in a precarious situation like that. Comply, and THEN AFTERWARDS deal with the cops' behavior. I think YOU know this!!!
