In an interview with Piers Morgan, Trump regaled us with:
‘We would make a great deal with the United Kingdom because they have product that we like. I mean they have a lot of great product. They make phenomenal things, you know, and you have different names - you can say “England”, you can say “UK”, you can say “United Kingdom” so many different - you know you have, you have so many different names - Great Britain. I always say: “Which one do you prefer? Great Britain? You understand what I’m saying?’
‘You know Great Britain and the United Kingdom aren’t exactly the same thing?’
‘Right, yeah. You know I know, but a lot of people don’t know that. But you have lots of different names. The fact is you make great product, you make great things. Even your farm product is so fantastic."
Only a Trump supporter would understand this babble.
I’ll admit when it comes to geography, other than the US, I haven’t a clue about most countries. That said, I would think that if I held the position of president and visited other countries, I should damn well know about the country and people I am dealing with.
Most people probably don't either including myself. But a president should study up before he goes to another country so he at least sounds intelligent. My son can name every country in the world and tell you facts about each of them, but he was a history major.
Well, excuuuuuuse me if I don't know my Wales from my Scotland! Nobody cares. From where I sit, it's all England. End of story.
It’s fine for you or I not to care, but our president should at least brush up to know while he is visiting them. That is literally part of being a politician.
Who cares?. At the end of the day this stuff doesn't matter.
Yeah your right, Trump not knowing a damn thing about geography doesn't matter.
