To all you Trump fans enthusiastically defending Trump and the press conference. You might go and read some of the conservative pundits and their views.

Yet to see anything that really supports Trump's performance.

At the end of the day, reality -- this whole meeting changed nothing for Americans.

And yes -- all the fuss -- is a whole lot of fuss.

But as someone who spent most of her life outside looking in at the USA and its proud patriotism and history......this most certainly seemed to go off the rails and was not consistent with what people come to expect from the USA and its leadership.

Wow, John Brennan calls it "treasonous". Others (including GOP lawmakers), call is "shameful" etc. There aren't stronger words in politics.

This summit could not have gone any worse, and given what happens with NATO, and UK, this is simply unacceptable. This guy cannot be allowed to represent the United States anymore.

Former CIA Director John Brennan called President Donald Trump's performance at Monday's news conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin "nothing short of treasonous."

At the news conference following his one-on-one meeting Putin in Helsinki, Finland, Trump declined to endorse the US intelligence community's assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 election over Putin's denial, saying the Russian President was "extremely strong and powerful" in his denial.

Sadly, I too am disappointed by what I am reading so far about the meeting. Trump may have lost what little support I had of him at this point.

Standing up to Russia is a critically important issue to me. I will reserve final judgement until more news comes out, but so far, not impressed.

really? add that they have put NATO troops on Russian's border.....add that American politicians want a NO FLY ZONE in Syria which means shooting down Russian Jets down which is an act of war.

add the Russia hysteria and bashing and warmongering by the U.S. Media, Democrats and the Neo-Cons in the Republican Party.

Add the Obama sanctions.....the list goes on and on.

like somebody said here before....endless wars, endless occupations and giving out billions of dollars a year in defense contracts is a very profitable business for some and they want to keep it that way....many lost lots of money on both sides after the Cold War ended in 1991 so they need to find new boogie men and enemies to justify their existence.
