How must it be corrected, and under what law is the correction required?
I doubt Newt means what you're suggesting. I think he means the president needs to apologize and correct his statement. I almost think there's a better chance of impeachment over Trump apologizing.
He is either going to try to walk it back some, or double down like he usually does. But, it just makes him look bad and weak, and good to see the backlash from both sides.
Oh god I wish he'd double down. Now THAT would be fun to watch!
