No it doesn't. But you can be sure Trump won't be the world's hero.

What part did he sell out? When he said "would" instead of "wouldn't"?

Who ever starts it is dead. Putin knows that. He is also very intelligent, much more so than Trump. Trump is his favorite toy/tool today. And he can use Trump any way he chooses. Much better odds of success in that than war.

The optics on Monday afternoon for Trump were terrible. He tried to wave it away by changing one word which still makes the rest of what he said incongruous with everything else he said. But, apparently that was enough for his Republican detractors to support him again (grow a spine, people).

And even after all those bad optics... he invites Putin here?

I don't know what he is trying to prove. Given that Trump caved to Putin at that press conference in regards to interrogation of US officials and not putting Putin to the question about election meddling, even after Trump comes back here and patches thing up with his supporters, you'd think he'd wait for the dust to settle.

If Trump is a genius, Putin will show up in late October and they'll announce some "deal" that will be the equivalent of peace in the Middle East. Yet, it will have just as much binding power as the Trump-Kim summit. Nothing. But people will buy into for 2-3 weeks, enough to tilt the scales a bit for the election, before people realize they were hoodwinked...again... when the substance of their agreement falls to pieces.

Remember when the right wing went nuts about the "Obama Apology Tour"?

Trump was far worse -- he didn't just apologize, he threw the United States under the bus at Putin's feet in front of the whole world.

Saying he agreed with Putin over the intelligence community. Numerous times. Yeah, that's a sell out.

What's wrong with inviting Putin to the Whitehouse? What evidence is there of collusion and election tampering?

It's what I think of Dims considering TDS and its affects over their mindset. BTW, I do exempt bleeding heart liberals (maybe you are one) from this as I agree with their motives, just not their methods.

TDS is so strong you get the impression its sufferers would support nuclear armageddon rather than Trump thawing US Russian relations.
