Women are really starting to come forward, from all over the world. It is about an abuse of power - not homosexuality. It is not new and the hierarchy have known and covered it up for a very long time. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Sorry Janelle, you do not get to blame the pedophilia problem in the Catholic Church on homosexuals. Homosexuals can be pedophiles. Heterosexuals can be pedophiles. The Catholic Church has both. Boys and girls have both been victimized.

Like I said in another thread like this, its no different than family, friends, neighbors, teachers, etc in the past that used to just roll their eyes or joke about the adult who is hooking up with underage kids, its the same exact thing, its people not reporting it, not viewing it was that serious, Im sure most of have experiences with these kinds of people...
I do for sure, My parents, many neighbors, teachers, etc, they all knew a classmate of mine was sleeping with a neighbor guy in his mid 20s, (she was 13/14), the most they did was joke about how the guy can not get a girl his own age, not a single one of them ever thought to do anything more, it just wasnt serious back in the 80s, 90s.

This has nothing to do with that. Priests take a vow of celibacy and that means NO SEX. It's not what sexual inclination are you. It's become a priest, you are celibate. You want sex don't become a priest.
It's also a "Catholic, Me Too" with this. Agree to have sex with your superior, you get promoted. You refuse, you get drummed out. Harvey Weinstein is having a problem with this now. They all need to drain the swamp.
Priests are in a position of trust
In reading the morning news I was impressed with a cruel and graphic nature of the accusations. the accused mode of operation was NOT of a child sleeping with a teacher, family member, neighbor but multiple under age sex partner(s) tied to a cross and abused.
