Drejka initiated violence when he sat in his car and waited for McGlockton to go into the store, THEN got in McGlockton's girlfriend's face and told her to "move her f'kin car". His rant was so loud and belligerent that several customers noticed and one of them went into the store and alerted McGlockton.
If you were pushed to the ground with two angry people standing right next to you, one of whom is walking back towards you, and a third who purposely told the guy what was going on, and then trailed him out...walking to the scene, do you mean to tell me you wouldn't be thinking you were about to be further attacked by two or three people?

So you didn't watch the video or you didn't understand what you saw? Which is it?
Car drives up, parks in handicapped spot. Young lad gets out, dad gets out and they walk into the store.
Another car drives up and parks, sees the car in the handicapped spot without a tag or handicapped plates and tells her to move.

Clearly you didn’t watch the video.
Mr. short tempered assaulter was already in the store when Good Samaritan pulled up.
So you didn't understand the part about Drejka initiating the violence?
.
Except he didn't. He initiated the confrontation (which was foolish and likely racially driven), but he did not initiate the violence.
Two people can be in a shouting match all day long. That won't count.
Wait, are you living in that fantasy world where thoughts equal violence? Sorry, but American jurisprudence and criminal science hasn't "progressed" to the "Minority Report" future yet.

Well as long you're using the words "likely racially driven", which in this case may be true, those same words also may hold true for McGlockton. He may have thought something along the lines of, "they can't tell me nuthin' and if they do they tryin' cuz' I'm Black"
I have seen myself quite a few ...dozen... times.
-Taking soda in a different cup from a Wendy's ...oh you stopped me cuz' I'm Black
-Skipping public transportation fare ...a brother can't get a break?
-Taking items off a shelf and putting it in a bag then walking past the register ...you got something against African-Americans?
It ...does... happen, pretty frequently.
