Giving farmers money is a political move to hold his base. Having to do this because of his ill-thought out trade wars is disturbing. Once you start diddling with economic markets it becomes a nightmare of bandaids and bailouts.

The trump administration has recently insisted that any forms of government assistance like food stamps will now be called, welfare.

Isn't this Farmer Welfare??
