I am happy to see this happen. North Korea, after a no-show and standing up US officials a few weeks ago at the DMZ, finally decided to make good on their agreement.

Is North Korea returning the remains of US soldiers 65 years later a good thing? Yes, very much so. However, not to sound insensitive, but the issue of that "other thing" Trump and Kim agreed to, about denuclearization. Kim's nuclear development is far more important to our national security and is an immediate threat.

"North Korea is no longer a nuclear threat." Those were Donald Trump's exact words. And while Kim, for optics, has torn down some of their older technology testing facilities.....they continue to build up their newer technology nuke factories and test sites. Far as I've seen, Trump has not talked addressed this at all since the summit.

All that said, glad to see some of our boys come home, and I hope their families can find some peace.

The Trump-Kim summit was not about returning remains but Trump's demand for North Korea to give up it's nukes. A couple of boxes of mixed bones (down from the initial 200+ bodies returned claim) is just a consolation/participation prize.

It absolutely was a part of the summit....

It's 55 boxes, not 55 bodies...did I miss that part?

Excellent news for those servicemen and their families.

But it still won't clean the image of Crooked Trump!

You lefties are indeed a sorry little bunch of desperate whining fools and everyone can see it.
Remember when the left cheered for Kim when he called Trump a dotard? And then they bashed Trump for being nice to a brutal dictator. Make up your mind, lefties. The left are a bunch of two faced hypocrites.

Kim is dismantling nuke sites and sending us remains. What more does he have to do to prove he is willing to play ball?

So, to be clear, NK gives us a bunch of bones that *might* be from missing Americans, and this means Trump is a genius?

Come on, people... quit the Trump-licking.

First, I'd be surprised if those remains are of the people NK claims since they don't exactly have reputation for honesty.

Second, if a crazy, murderous tyrant like Kim Jong-Un decides one day to do something nice for somebody, does that mean Trump is a genius? No, it does not. Trump did NOTHING of note in the NK meeting. He fawned over the tyrant, got him to make empty promises - like others before him - and now NK decides to return some remains to us... a decision that costs them exactly nothing in political or military power. Seriously, this is like a hostage taker deciding to order a pizza for his hostages, and then the far-right salutes the pizza-guy as a hero.

And still not a word of North Korea hasn't kept any of their "promises" regarding their nuclear facilities, etc.
