We've known about this for decades and done nothing. NOTHING. Because of greed.
I'm so angry, and so disappointed, and just full of despair all the time. It's time for Millennials to start ripping power out of Boomers' hands and take the wheel before the proverbial sleeping grandpa drives us over the damn cliff.
The people on this forum and elsewhere who trivialize this issue, or dismiss it, or attack the scientists doing this work, or myriad other things to justify looking away from reality need to be ignored and pushed aside if we are going to do what needs to be done to properly address these problems. Short term greed is crushing their children and grandchildren with a climate debt that is going to take decades or even centuries to pay off.
Disgusting.
That’ll never happen. Thanks to modern medicine, the Boomers will alive for another two decades, plundering everything they can grab before they die.
What is going to come? Facts please, not some apocalyptic guess work.
Each year will get gradually worse -- more record heat events, more record flood events, more record droughts. Extreme weather will occur more frequently and will become more extreme. Low lying beachfront areas will see more seawater intrusion as the ocean gradually rises.
