Ouch! That'll put a dent in the socialist's narrative.
Makes one wonder just how the rest of the world finances their healthcare systems.

The fact that you feel compelled to use a corrupt third world dictatorship like Venezuela as a country we should compare ourselves with just proves the point. You know deep inside that the health care systems in our closest allies are far better for the average Joe.

One thing is for sure; they wont spend $40 trillion ++ on health care in the next decade like we are projected to do under our current system!!!

They generally pay $3500-5000 per year in health care taxes per year depending on country. Less than what we currently pay in healthcare taxes for our current system. Thats how inefficient and corrupt our system is.

Bernie used Venezuela as his exemplar of the "American dream" only 7 years ago:

These days, the American dream is more apt to be realized in South America, in places such as Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina, where incomes are actually more equal today than they are in the land of Horatio Alger. Who's the banana republic now?

argentina's citizens and economy ain't doin' so great these days, either, to say the least.

Why anyone would want the government to bloat out like Hillary's goiter and be in charge of everyone's health care is beyond me. Most sane people want less government intrusion in their lives, not more.

Further, they could double the personal and corporate tax rates and it still wouldn't be enough to cover the costs of this.

So go ahead, try selling that to the American people, that they'll have to pay double or triple their current tax rate for a more inefficient system run by the government. See how that goes.

He was only referring to inequality, and Argentina has been governed by a right wing government for several years now.

Latin America is deeply corrupt, whether left wing or right wing.

You know fully well that what we are talking about is what every major developed country has. Its not something "communist" or revolutionary to expand Medicare.

what a horrible idea.
replace the current inept insurance death panel system with an inept government death panel system.

Note. Not one single thing done by congress in the last 50 years has involved increasing YOUR access to healthcare. EVERYTHING congress has done has been some version of passing laws related to INSURANCE.

Medicare for all is just a new INSURANCE SCHEME.
